The characters itself is the mixture of Pragya and Bulbul.
She is shown as very conservative teacher who believes in arrange marriage but still holds high values regarding relationships. Never understood meaning of love or received other than family. Still stand stronger in every situations. Her not know the feeling of love will also another pain to her since Purab will not reciprocate easily.
The most important quality she shares with Bulbul is strong enough to fight with goons. I would not call Disha as typical behenji because somewhere she is shown as modern thinking and independent girl. She has just buried her aspiration between old traditions of small town.
