Drabble: Journey of Abhigya #30

Abhi calls Purab.

Purab: Hello

Abhi: Where are you?

Purab: I am on the way to my home. Why?

Abhi: Can you come home now?

Purab: Why Abhi? Pragya Di is also not good. What happened?

Abhi: Meet me immediately *cuts call*

Purab reaches MM tensed. He storms into Abhi's room.

Purab: What happened Abhi?

Abhi: *sees him tensed* *makes him sit on the couch* *gives him a glass of water*

Purab: *refuses to drink water* What happened Abhi?

Abhi: I want to meet her husband.

Purab: Whose husband?

Abhi: Pragya's husband

Purab: *confused*

Abhi: I want to know about why he left her

Purab: Abhi, I don't understand why you are asking all this?

Abhi: You call her Di? Don't you see how much pain she is in? I want to know who is that idiot?

Purab: Cool down Abhi. Tell me what happened first.

Abhi narrates Purab what happened.

Purab: *realizes why Pragya didn't talk properly* *thinks he should handle the situation properly*

Abhi: She told me that her husband forgot her. What did she mean by that?

Purab: *starts sweating* He has a memory loss

Abhi: 😲

Purab: You should sleep now. *gives some pills and forces him to sleep*

Next day,

Pragya distracts herself from her emotions by concentrating on work.

In the night, just when she is about to lie on bed, she receives a text

Abhi: Meet me at Juhu beach in half an hour.


Abhi: Meet me


Abhi: I will be waiting.




She takes her purse and goes out not answering any questions of her mother and grandmother. She boards an auto.


Abhi: I saw you.
Abhi: Look at the ice-cream stand to your right.

Drabble: Journey of Abhigya #31

Pragya sees Abhi standing near the ice-cream stall. She goes to him while he starts walking towards her.

Pragya: *tries to talk but stops as he shows the way towards the beach* *starts walking with him* What happened?

Abhi: *doesn't talk until they reach a spot near the shore* *sits and asks her to sit*

Pragya: *looks at him concerned*

Abhi: I came to know about my life

Pragya: *confused look*

Abhi: I know what happened in my life in the last 3 years.

Pragya: *stumbles* Wha... What happened? What.. d.. do do you know?

Abhi: Everything. *pauses* Everything including my marriage.

Pragya: Who.. Who told you?

Abhi: Aliya

Pragya: *stops breathing for a second* *keeps looking at him*

Abhi: It seems the girl I married was a gold digger. She married me for my money. When I fell in love with her, she cheated me over my wealth and became my boss. Thankfully, Aliya had saved my properties from her.

Pragya: It isn't true. *sees him looking at her surprised* It can't be true

Abhi: Why?

Pragya: Because *becomes numb*

Abhi: You know about my life? Of course, you would. You are my Number 1 FAN, right?

Pragya: *tries to get up*

Abhi: *he holds her wrist tightly making it unable for her to move away*

Pragya: *she tries to get off his grip but he holds her wrist tightly* You are hurting me

Abhi: So are you

Pragya: *eyes widened*

Abhi: What are you afraid of?

Pragya: I am not afraid of anything.

Abhi: Then talk

Pragya: What?

Abhi: Stop lying FUGGY!! *stands up* I know everything. EVERY SINGLE DAMN THING!!

Pragya: *sees a band-aid in his arm* *gets up* What happened to your hand?

Abhi: *ignores it* *holds her arms* I know everything. I just want to hear it from you.

Drabble: Journey of Abhigya #32

Purab comes to AH

Purab: Did Abhi come here?

Maa: What happened Beta?

Purab: Where is Di?

RoDaadi: She went out hurriedly. Don't know what happened. What is the matter Purab?

Purab: Abhi came to know everything.

Everyone: 😲

Flashback

Abhi wakes up in the morning but Purab's words 'He has a memory loss' keeps echoing in his mind. He wanted to know the mystery behind Pragya's marriage. He suspects his past is somehow linked with that. He sees the time and thinks Purab must be in his office and goes there.

Abhi reaches Purab's cabin.

Purab: Abhi! You here.

Abhi: I want to talk.

Purab: Abhi, I am busy. Please can we talk later *tries to avoid Abhi because of what he said last night*

Abhi: I will wait.

Purab: Abhi, You go. I will come and meet you after.

Abhi goes and sits outside Purab's cabin. Purab thinks Abhi will lose patience and go home in few hours but he waits till afternoon.

Abhi: *coughs repetitively*

Purab: *makes Abhi sit as coughs become severe* Wait, I will get you water.

Abhi: *ACCIDENTALLY makes the glass fall on the ground* *glass breaks*

Purab: Wait, I will go and get water.

Abhi: *stops coughing as Purab goes out* *takes Purab's phone and scrolls through the gallery to find Pragya's marriage photo* *sees the photo only to get shocked* *thinks how could he be there* *he got married*

Purab: *hears something falling on the ground in the room and rushes to the room* *sees Abhi sitting on the floor like he collapsed* *shouts* ABHI *sits near him* What happened Abhi? *panics as he doesn't respond and is sitting still*

Abhi: *remembers all the moments with Pragya* *when he met her for the first time in the Love Life Music Company* *her making coffee for him* *him feeling familiar with her family members* *his thoughts always going around her* *him being restless when she didn't come to office* *their hug* *her watery eyes when she talked about her marriage*

Purab: Abhi, why are you like this? What happened? *sees his phone on the ground* *looks at Abhigya marriage photo in it* *understands what happened*

Abhi: *faints on the ground* *blood rushes out of his arm as his arm falls on the broken pieces*

Purab spills water over Abhi's face. Abhi becomes conscious. Gets up but doesn't speak. Purab makes Abhi sit on a chair and nurses his wound.

After few minutes,

Abhi: Tell me everything

Purab: You shouldn't stress your mind. *kneels down on the floor near him*

Abhi: *holds his collar* Tell me everything or I will know it myself.

Purab narrates Abhi what has happened in his life. He doesn't tell the bad events initially but after Abhi suspects Purab and threatened him to tell him everything, Purab tells him every major event in his life.

Abhi: *leaves the place*

Flashback ends

Purab: I have been trying to contact him for the past few hours. He doesn't pick up anyone's calls. Now his phone is switched off.

Meanwhile,

Abhi: Chashmish... Fuggy... Mogambo... I know everything Pragya. I just want to hear the truth from you.

Pragya: The truth is... *contains her tears* I love you

Abhi: *pulls her in for a hug*

Pragya: *puts her arms around his neck and starts crying* *talks in between her sobs* I am sorry. I have been an idiot to not tell you the truth all these days.

Abhi: Me too

Pragya: *pull off the hug to see his face*

Abhi: I have been an idiot too, to not find the truth all these days. *hugs her again*
