Drabble: Journey of Abhigya #20

Abhi reaches MM while Pragya reaches AH. RoDaadi sees Pragya so happy. RoDaadi comes and sits besides Pragya on bed.

RoDaadi: What is happening beta?

Pragya: Nothing

RoDaadi: What did Abhi say?

Pragya: He *stops* *gets sad*

RoDaadi: What happened?

Pragya: His song recording would be over tomorrow.

RoDaadi: *get sad too*

Pragya: *sees Daadi* but there's a way to meet him

RoDaadi: *looks at her curious*

Pragya: He asked me to come out with him this Sunday.

RoDaadi: *gets so happy* *hugs Pragya*

Pragya: But Daadi... I am afraid to go.

RoDaadi: Afraid? You should be happy. Why are you afraid?

Pragya: How would Maa react? She is already afraid of Aliya.

RoDaadi: Don't tell her

Pragya: What? 😲

RoDaadi: We will tell her just before you go out.

Pragya: *phone beeps* *gets a text from him* *sees Daadi and hides the phone*

RoDaadi: *suspects Pragya* *snatches her phone and sees Abhi's name* Oh.. You started texting?

Pragya: *blushes*

RoDaadi: OK. You carry on *smiles teasingly* I have to take my medicine *leaves*

Pragya opens the text.

Abhi: Hi


Abhi: What are you doing?


Abhi: Rockstar Daadi, My Partner 😎 I miss her


Abhi: Haan... I miss playing Clash of Titans with her. Not getting enough time to play.

Pragya opens the audio message. It's Abhi singing the first few lines of his song with her lyrics.


Abhi: Just nice?



Abhi: OK OK It's Enough 😆

Pragya didn't know whether she should be relieved that he didn't REPLY to her message or should feel sad because he DIDN'T reply to her message.


Abhi: Oh
Abhi: I thought you meant it :(

Pragya was surprised with the :( smiley. What did he meant by that?

Abhi: Good Night

Pragya didn't have a choice but to reply Good Night


Pragya couldn't sleep that night. She wanted to know what he meant by 'I thought you meant it' and then she brushed it off saying he might have been flirting with her. But wait, how could HE flirt with her? She didn't know when she slept off.

Next morning

Abhi: Good Morning

Pragya: Good Morning 😃

After few hours,

In Love Life Music Company

Pragya is in the reception and sees Abhi entering the company with his bodyguards. He comes to talk to her but Aliya stops him saying that they don't have much time as lists all his appointments.

Abhi: *smiles at Pragya helplessely*

Pragya: *closes her eyes as a nod and smiles back*

Abhi finishes the recording but he couldn't meet Pragya as Aliya keeps giving one or other reason and doesn't let him free. She drags him outside the company as they finish their work. However, Abhi comes back to Pragya telling Aliya that he left something inside.

Abhi: Hey! Recording Over

Pragya: Hmm... So *looks at him anxiously*

Abhi: We'll meet on Sunday.

Pragya: Where?

Abhi: I will text you. *gets Aliya's call* I have to go. Bye.

Pragya: Bye. Take care.

Drabble: Journey of Abhigya #23

Next day, Sunday Morning

RoDaadi: Why are you so tensed? I think I should remind you he is your husband.

Pragya: *fidgets with the end of her dupatta*

RoDaadi: *sits near Pragya* Why are you nervous now?

Pragya: It's all because of him *stares at Purab*

Purab: Di, what did I do?

Pragya: *angrily* Haan. You did nothing.

Pragya: *looks at Daadi* Purab told him that I am married.

RoDaadi: 😲

Purab: Daadi... He was scrolling through the photos in my mobile and was just about to see his wedding picture but I managed snatch the phone from him. Unfortunately, he saw Pragya Di in a bridal wear. You don't know how difficult it was for me to escape from his questions without telling him that it was his wedding photo.

Pragya: And then you didn't inform me about that.

Purab: As if you are telling me everything

Pragya: *looks at him*

Purab: You didn't tell me that Abhi and you started texting each other.

Pragya: *looks down* That.. That's different.

Purab: What's so different?

RoDaadi: Stop it! Brother and sister fights can be done later. Beta, did Abhi text you the place?

Pragya: No, Daadi. He said he will text me the place in an hour.

RoDaadi: Go Get Ready then.

Sarla Maa enters the room.

Sarla Maa: Get ready for what? Where is she going? Today is Sunday na?

In MM, Abhi is going out but Aliya stops him

Aliya: Bhai, where are you going?

Abhi: Me.. I am going to meet a friend.

Aliya: Which friend?

Abhi: Why?

Aliya: Why? Just for your safety. Is there anything you shouldn't tell me?

Abhi: Nothing like that. I am meeting Pragya.

Aliya: *gets angry* Pragya. Why? Why are you meeting her?

Abhi: *looks surprised* Why? What's wrong?

Aliya: Why do you want to meet her Bhai? She is just a receptionist.

Abhi: So what?

Aliya: *grabs one of his arms* You should keep yourself distanced from these kind of people.

Abhi: What do you mean by these kind of people?

Aliya: Middle class people. They be with you for experiencing the luxury and fame that they can't get in their life. It might harm your career.

Abhi: *gets her hand off* *caresses her hair* You are thinking too much Aliya. I have to go now.

Aliya: Bhai, I am explaining you but you still want to go.

Abhi: What? *slightly irritated*

Aliya: You shouldn't be friends with middle class people. They will be behind your money.

Abhi: STOP IT Aliya! What's with this middle class speech? Don't you remember our status few years ago? *sighs and leaves*

RoDaadi: She is going to meet a friend.

Sarla Maa: Friend?

RoDaadi: Not really friend. But husband-turned-friend.

Sarla Maa: 😕

Purab: *goes near Maa and stands by her side* Di is going to meet Abhi

Sarla Maa: 😲

Purab: How exciting is this! He has asked her to come out with him 😃

Sarla Maa: You are not going Pragya

Pragya: :(

RoDaadi: Sarla, you should be happy. Why are you not letting them meet? There's chance of him getting his memory back if they meet each other na.

Sarla Maa: What if Aliya sees Pragya meeting Abhi? She would... No.. I am not letting her go

Purab: Maa, what are you doing? Can't you see what a chance is this? We all want them together na. Why are you doing this?

Sarla Maa: I want them to be together but not at the cost of my daughter's life. I have already lost my Bulbul.

Purab: Maa, I am here na. Why are you worrying? Nothing would happen to Di. Trust me, *holds her hands together* Even Bulbul wanted this na. We shouldn't let her sacrifice be a waste. Please..

Sarla Maa: *goes and sits on bed*

Pragya: *sits near Maa* If you don't want me to go, I won't go

Sarla Maa: *thinks for few minutes* *gets up and goes to the cupboard* *scrolls through Pragya's chatris* *picks up one* This would be good

Everyone is puzzled

Sarla Maa; Why are you people looking at me? Pragya, go and get ready soon.

Pragya hugs her Maa. Pragya gets ready. Everybody is giving their advice on what to talk with Abhi, how to talk etc.

Abhi enters

Abhi: Hello ladies!! 😃 *surprised as he sees Purab there* Sunday with son-in-law

Everyone: 😲

Abhi: Why are you looking at me like that? Purab is your son-in-law, right?

Everybody get relaxed and ask him to sit.

Abhi: Chashmish, are you ready? Can we go?

Everybody is smiling and Abhi feels awkward.

Abhi: *asks Pragya to come near*

Pragya: *goes near him skeptically*

Abhi: *with a fear in his voice* Why is everyone smiling? Are they also coming with us?

Pragya: *giggles* No *sees him get relieved*

Sarla Maa: What is the matter Beta?

Abhi: Nothing Aunty ji. It's getting late. *looks at Pragya* Shall we go now?

Abhigya board Abhi's car and he starts driving.

Pragya: Where are we going?

Abhi: I don't know

Pragya: *turns to face him quickly* I don't understand.

Abhi: To be honest, I don't know where should I take you. I don't know which place would be suitable for talking with you.

Pragya: 😕 You could talk with me even now?

Abhi: Special things should be said in special places.

Pragya: *heart beats fast after hearing the word 'special'*

Abhi: I bet you would be happy when you hear that.

Pragya: *tensed* *nervous* *excited* *afraid* *experiencing all at the same time* *reminds herself that he is thinking her to be married in order to reduce her excitement* *but efforts fail as heart beats faster*

Abhi: You like sweets?

Pragya: *not in a situation to talk properly* *nods yes*

Abhi: Stops car before a shop.

They enter a sweet shop and Abhi moves to a table.

Abhi: Come, Sit.

Pragya: *sits reluctantly on the tip of the chair*

Abhi order Gulab Jamuns for both of them.

Abhi: *calls the waiter* Make sure they are hot. She likes it hot.

Pragya: *surprised and shocked that he remembers her preferences*

Abhi: *looks at her looking at him* Sorry, I didn't ask you before ordering. You want to change?

Pragya: No, I like Gulab Jamuns. I... I was surprised that you know it.

Abhi: *waves hand in air* Oh Well, that was just a guess. *laughs*

Waiter comes with Gulab Jamuns,

Abhi: Well, I will come to the point directly.

Pragya: *tries to prevent her heart from exploding*

Abhi: Would you join my company as a lyricist?

Pragya: *heart beat becomes normal* *doesn't react*

Abhi: *sees her not reacting much* *gets disappointed that she didn't get excited about working with him* What happened? You don't like my offer?

Pragya: No.. I mean I am dumbfounded... I didn't expect *hands tremble and she ends up pouring some sugar syrup on her dress*

Abhi: Are you okay?

Pragya: Sorry... I ll just *goes to the washroom*

Abhi: *waits for her* *sees her phone ringing* *is reluctant at first whether he should attend or not* *phone keeps ringing* *he takes the phone but the call gets cut* *he gets surprised to see his photo as wallpaper* *thinks she is his fan so she must have kept his photo*

Pragya comes back.

Drabble: Journey of Abhigya #27

Abhi: *gives her phone* Someone called you.

Pragya: *takes the phone and looks at the missed call* *sees its from the nearby grocery shop* It's not important.

Abhi: You are different

Pragya: Matlab?

Abhi: You don't want to take a selfie with me but have my photo as your phone's wallpaper?

Pragya: *gasps*

Abhi: You didn't tell your opinion about my offer

Pragya: Uhh.. Um... *thinks she would be happy if she accepts but then thinks about Aliya* I need some time

Abhi: *disappointed that she didn't accept and is having second thoughts* OK Fine. Shall we go then?

Pragya: So soon? *bits lips*

Abhi: Yeah, you didn't accept my offer so I am ending our date here. 😛

Pragya: Date? 😲

Abhi: I was just joking. Don't get angry *pouts*

Pragya: *smiles subtly*

Abhigya board the car. Abhi turns on radio. *Sanam Re plays*

Abhi: *increases volume by a bit* *sees Pragya listening eagerly* You like songs like these right?

Pragya: Hmm... yes... You don't like them?

Abhi: Can't say I love them. But I wasn't interested in these types of songs before. But now I feel strangely attracted to some songs.

Pragya: *looks at him smiling*

Abhi: *thinks he should tell her something* You know, I suffered an accident, right? I lost my 3 years memory because of that.

Pragya: *gets concerned*

Abhi: You can't believe it na?

Pragya: *nods yes*

Abhi: Even I couldn't believe it at first. But sometimes I feel strange. I get strange dreams and sometimes I remember things which I don't know.

Pragya: Everything will be fine.

Abhi: I hope so. But nobody is trying to remind me of my memories. I want to know what happened in my life.

Pragya: Sometimes we won't have any support. We will have our family and friends with us but we can't seek their help. Sometimes we should face life alone. *remembers her marriage* I know you don't believe in God. But trust me, if God makes you sail through hell, then it means he is building you a heaven at the other side.

Abhi: *stops the car* *holds her hand*

Drabble: Journey of Abhigya #28

Pragya: *wipes the tear drop that just fell from his eyes*

Abhi: *holds her hand wiping his tear drop*

Pragya: *surprised at him stopping her*

Abhi: *hugs her*

Pragya: *shocked for few seconds* *mind goes blank* *after few seconds, hugs him back* *tears start flowing as she closes her eyes*

Abhigya remain embraced for few minutes.

Abhi: *breaks the hug* *comes back to senses* *wipes his tears*

Pragya: *jerks as she comes back to reality*

Both of them feel awkward.

Abhi: I am sorry. I got a little emotional... I am...

Pragya: *covers his mouth with her palm* Don't apologize. Never say sorry for being yourself. It's only in front of few people, we could be ourselves without any hesitations. I am happy that I could be one of those few people in your life atleast for few minutes.

Abhi: I don't know the reason. We know each other only for few days but I feel I know you very well.

Pragya: *thinks he is right in feeling that he knows her* I too feel like I know you very well.

Abhi: You indeed seem to know me very well but I don't know much of you even though I like to.

Pragya: You want to know about my marriage? If that will make you feel better, I don't have any hesitations to share it with you.

Drabble: Journey of Abhigya #29

Abhi: You need not tell

Pragya: I feel I need to... I think it would make me feel better

Abhi: OK

Pragya *stays silent for few seconds* *composes herself* We had an arranged marriage and he married me because of family compulsion. By the time, we fell in love with each other, we had to leave each other.

Abhi: *in a low voice* Why?

Pragya: He forgot me.

Abhi: What?

Pragya bursts into tears as she reminisces their day at Lonavla

Abhi: *has so many questions on mind* *but doesn't want to ask her as he sees her crying loudly* *he lets her cry into his chest*

Pragya: *gets hold of herself and sits straight* *stays silent* *reminds herself that she shouldn't blurt out much which might shock him* Shall we go home please?

Abhi: *swallows all the questions* *realizes it's not the right time to ask her *drives to her home*

Abhi drops her at her home.

Abhi: Take care.

Pragya: *a smile creeps on her tired face*

Everyone in AH wait for Pragya and ask questions as soon as she enters home. Pragya doesn't respond properly and goes into her room. Everyone follow her to the room.

Purab: Di, what happened? *worries as her eyes are read and swollen*

Pragya: Purab, please leave me alone for some time. *talks really tired*

They leave her room after switching off the lights.
