Drabble Series - Journey of Abhigya (completed)

This started as a single drabble in Abhigya AT with the thought - 'How could it be if Abhi sees Purab and Pragya together?'

But it developed into a drabble series consisting of 32 drabbles due to the encouragement I received in the AT. Since it has way too many parts for a drabble, I am creating a seperate thread for this instead of posting it in my drabble thread.

P.S. This story takes place in Season 2 - after the episode where Aliya sees Pragya and Purab comes to know that Aliya threatened the Arora ladies.

Drabble Series: Journey of Abhigya #1

Pragya is about to leave office in the evening and she gets Purab's call.

Purab: Di, Where are you?

Pragya: I am at office now. Why?

Purab: I will come there to pick up you.

Pragya: Why?

Purab: Why? I shouldn't come to your office.

Pragya: No, it's not like that. It will take time for you to come na. I will..

Purab: I am in front of your office.

Pragya: 😲

Pragya goes out and sees Purab in his car. She gets inside his car. Abhi sees this and wonders whose car is she getting into when she didn't accept his lift. He decides to follow them in his car.

Purab drives to nearby restaurant.

Pragya: Why have we come here?

Purab: To talk

Pragya: We can talk at home na

Purab: Why? You won't sit with me for a coffee?

Pragya: What happened to you, Purab? You are behaving weird.

Purab: Because you don't share things with me.

Pragya: 🤔

Purab: You met Abhi?

Pragya: 😲 You know that?

Purab: *fakes to be angry*

Pragya: *holds ears* Sorry

Abhi comes there and sees Purab and Pragya sitting and chatting.

Drabble Series: Journey of Abhigya #2

Purab: I am dissapointed with you.

Pragya:

Purab: You don't consider me as your brother.

Pragya: Why are you talking like this? I am sorry. I was afraid to share this with anyone. Only Daadi knew it. Maa and others came to know only when he came home.

Purab: He came home? 😲

Pragya: You didn't know it already?

Purab: 😡 You are hiding many things from me.

Pragya: Please! Sorry! 😃

Purab: *gets a call and goes out*

Abhi comes there.

Abhi: What are you doing here?

Pragya: *turns around* *shocked* You... here?

Abhi: I asked you a question.

Pragya: Why would anyone come to a restaurant? To eat.

Abhi: With your boyfriend.

Pragya: I told you I don't have any boyfriend.

Abhi: Then who was that guy with you?

Pragya: Who? Woh... *stumbles*

Purab comes there.

Purab: Di!! I... *sees Abhi* Abhi *shocked*

Drabble Series: Journey of Abhigya #3

Purab: Abhi? You here?

Abhi: Why are you here?

Purab: I... I.. *stumbles*

Abhi: She is that girl, right?

Purab: Which girl?

Abhi: She was the one with you in your car that day?

Purab: Yes... uhh. No

Abhi: What are you hiding from me?

Purab: Nothing

Abhi: I know what you are hiding

Purab:

Pragya: 😲

Abhi: She is your girlfriend, right?

Pragya and Purab (at once): NO!!

Abhi: *surprised at their reaction*

Purab: She is my sister.

Abhi: Sister? 😲 You never told me that you had a sister.

Purab: You are my brother so she is my sister.

Abhi:

Purab: I mean just like how I call you my brother, I consider her my sister. *sees Pragya* Di, this is Abhi

Abhi: Areyy.. What are you doing? I already know Nikita.

Purab: Nikita? Who is that?

Pragya: It's me *looks at Purab*

Abhi: What happened to you Purab? Are you alright?

Drabble Series: Journey of Abhigya #4

Purab: What are you doing here?

Abhi: I was foll... I mean I came to the restaurant

Purab: For what?

Abhi: What do you mean by that? Why do people come to restaurant? To eat. *sees Pragya* 😉

Pragya: *surprised* *suppresses her smile*

Purab: Can we eat together then?

Abhi: Oh, Sure!

Purab, Abhi and Pragya order dishes.



Just then Purab receives a text message.

Purab: I got an urgent work, Sorry Di, I have to go now. Why don't you guys carry on? *gives himself a high-five in his mind*

Pragya: Purab... I

Purab: Abhi, can you drop Di at her home, if you don't mind?

Abhi: I will. 😊

Pragya: 😕

Abhi: Nikita, how did you know Purab?

Waiter comes with the dishes they ordered.

Pragya: *thanks god as she has been saved from the question*

Abhigya:

Abhi: You didn't answer my question yet.

Pragya: *rushes with words* Talking while eating is not a good habit.

Abhi: *ignores her words* I know him from childhood. He hasn't mentioned about you. When did you guys become friends?

Pragya: 2 years ago

Abhi: Oh I see. So it happened within the last 3 years. That's why I don't remember him telling about you.

Pragya: *looks at him*

Abhi: *thinks about not letting people know about him losing his memory* Why are you looking at me? You don't like the dish?

Pragya: *realises she was staring at him* No *shoves a spoon full into her mouth*

Abhi: Wait, do you have a sister??

Pragya: *shocked* Why?

Abhi: He loves your sister. He is seeking your help, right? 😉 That girl who was with him must be your sister.

Pragya: *gets sad* *doesn't know what to reply*

Abhi: *smile fades* But I didn't see anyone of your sister's age in your home. *gets thinking*

Pragya: She's no more.

Drabble Series: Journey of Abhigya #5

Abhi: *feels bad that he reminded her of something sad*

Pragya: *tries to not to show sadness and thinks to change the topic*

Abhi: I am sorry.

Pragya: It's OK. *smiles subtly* *finishes eating* I think I have to leave now.

Abhi: I will drop you.

Pragya: It's not necessary. I will go on my own.

Abhi: It's all because of me :(

Pragya: What? *confused*

Abhi: I shouldn't have brought that topic. You are not coming with me because of that.

Pragya: *panics for a second* No. It's not like that.

Abhi: Then, I will drop you home?

Pragya: 🤔 *sees his innocent face* Ermm OK

Abhi: 😃

Abhigya in car

Abhi: *sees her still disturbed* *decides to take it off her mind* *cracks some joke but no use as she just returns a fake smile* *thinks what to do* *thinks may be he should let her talk about her pain so that it lessens her burden* *but doesn't know how to do* *has second thoughts whether this is a good idea as he doesn't know her well and whether she would think he is taking advantage of her being friendly with him by interfering in personal matters*

Pragya: *sees him being silent for the past few minutes* *wonders whether there's anything wrong* *thnks to break the ice* How is everyone at your home?

Abhi: *realizes she asked something* Sorry, what did you say?

Pragya: I asked about your family members. Everyone's fine? Your Daadi, Daasi, Brothers and others?

Abhi: You seem to know a lot about my family.

Pragya: I have read

Abhi: it in an article

Pragya: *smiles to hide her embarrassment*

Abhi: My mom would love to see you.

Pragya: *confused* Mom??

Abhi: Mom.. She would be happy to meet a fan like you.

Pragya: *worries whether he is having hallucinations after the accident*

Abhi: *snaps at her face* Where are your thoughts at? You didn't read about my mom in the article?

Drabble Series: Journey of Abhigya #6

Pragya: But...

Abhi: *stops her* *looks at her like he wants her to continue*

Pragya: *heart beats fast* *gets tensed about why he is talking about his mom* But... your parents...

Abhi: died when I was a kid.

Pragya: *heart stops for a second* *thinks why is talking strangely and whether his medicines have side effects* *thinks to inform Daadi when she reaches home*

Abhi: *waves hand in front of her* What?

Pragya: *looks at him uneasily*

Abhi: You are wondering why I am talking about my mom when they are no more

Pragya: *is about to nod yes but stops* Because you never talked about your parents with me.

Abhi: with you? *confused*

Pragya: *understands that she blurted out* I mean you have never talked about your parents in your interviews.

Abhi: *relaxes* Oh yeah... I don't really talk about them because I fear I might get depressed.

Pragya: *keeps her hand over his on the armrest*

Abhi: When my parents died, I was so depressed that I went and lied on a railway track to end my life. *closes eyes* But my Daadi saved me. It is because of her and her love, I am being what I am now. Sometimes when your loved ones leave you, you feel that your whole world is shattered. Living becomes a punishment. But you realize that it's not true once you break out of that depressing walls you built around yourself. My Daadi told me that you shouldn't be afraid of feeling pain. I realized only recently that embracing it and learning to live with it is a better solution than running away from it. Because if you bury it, it will come out one day as an ugly beast. I learnt to accept that my parents are no more and showered all my love to my sister. I know that would in turn make them happy. If they see us now, they would definitely be happy about me and my sister living happily.

Pragya: *looks at him silently*

Abhi: Am I boring you?

Pragya: *Nods no*

Abhi: You may be wondering why am I talking about this? *sees her* I don't know about the relationship between you and your sister. But I guess, she would never want you to feel sad when you talk about her. Sometimes, life just acts cruel but we shouldn't let it change us. You love your sister, right? *sees her eyes* then you shouldn't feel bad when you talk about her. There may be hundreds of happy memories with her. Think about them. She would feel happy that her memories are making you happy.

Drabble Series: Journey of Abhigya #7

Pragya: *in a low voice* Th... Thank you *smiles at him*

Abhi: *stares at her*

Pragya: For thinking that you should make me feel better

Abhi: For thinking? So I didn't make you feel better.

Pragya: No, I didn't mean that way. You made me feel better but...

Abhi: but

Pragya: You did that when you don't have to... I said thanks for that.

Abhi: 😊

Pragya: Shall we go to home then?

Abhi: We?

Pragya: You to your home and me to my home?

Abhi: Haan yeah *smiles and starts car*

Abhi drops her at her home. Pragya starts entering her home but Abhi calls her before she enters home.

Pragya: *turns back and comes to his car*

Abhi: *thinks to ask whether she could help him find whether Purab loves any girl but stops as he finds it uncomfortable*

Pragya: Do you want anything?

Abhi: Umm... Actually, I wanted to ask you something?

Pragya: Yes

Abhi: *doesn't want to bring the topic again and decides to leave it* Nothing. Leave it.

Pragya: Purab loved Bulbul and you were right. We became friends through Bulbul.

Abhi: Bulbul? *confused*

Pragya: I am sorry. Bulbul is my younger sister.

Abhi: *smiles* Bye!

Pragya: Bye. Take Care *leaves*

Abhi: *starts driving* *thinks how this girl could answer him even before he asked the question* *thinks there's more to this Nikita than what he sees*

Drabble Series: Journey of Abhigya #8

Abhi reaches home and goes to his room without seeing anyone.

Abhi: *closes the door and sits on couch* *thinks about Purab* *thinks many things happened in the last 3 years and he has to know it* *decides he should talk to Purab first* *how awful would he have been feeling after losing the girl he loved* *takes his phone and calls him* Purab

Purab: Hello Abhi!

Abhi: Your work over?

Purab: What work? I was free the whole day.

Abhi: You said you had some urgent work

Purab: *thinks what and then remembers about him giving an excuse to leave Abhi and Pragya alone* Haan. The work is over Abhi. Tell me.

Abhi: I thought we could meet. You know, it's been a long time we spent some time together.

Purab: *thinks his idea was success and Abhi wants to talk about his Di* OK Abhi. Shall I come home now?

Abhi: No, not now. *thinks that MM is not suitable and he should meet him somewhere alone so that they can talk freely* Shall we meet tomorrow in my apartment?

Purab: Okay. See you tomorrow!!

Drabble Series: Journey of Abhigya #9

Purab enters Abhi's apartment.

Abhi:

Purab: Abhi *sees him wearing headphones* *shouts* Abhi

Abhi: *takes headphones off* Get inside Buddy

Purab and Abhi sit on the sofa opposite to each other.

Purab: So Abhi, what did you want to talk?

Abhi: Nothing in particular. Just felt like having a casual talk.

Purab: Come-on Abhi. We could have talked in MM itself. I know you want to talk about something. What is that?

Abhi: Uhh.. Actually I want to know about what happened in the last 3 years.

Purab: What happened? Matlab?

Abhi: What happened in your life, Aliya's life, my life and in the lives of everyone in our family?

Purab: What happened? Nothing is changed, Abhi. It's like as it was 3 years ago.

Abhi: Nikita told me Purab.

Purab: Told you what?

Abhi: Everything

Purab: 😲

Abhi: She told me about Bulbul

Purab: 😒

Abhi: Why didn't you tell me?

Purab: Ughh... Actually I didn't want to bother you.

Abhi: Was I there with you when you needed me?

Purab: Abhi, why are you thinking about all these? You shouldn't stress your mind.

Abhi: Please Purab. Why is it always about me?

Purab: It's not like that Abhi. The doctors told you not to stress you with the past and I didn't want to dig up the past and make you sad.

Abhi: *shouts* Hell with your advice. Not knowing anything is what is making me stressed.

Purab: Abhi... please calm down

Abhi: I want to know what happened in the lives of people around me. If you couldn't tell me about my life, you could atleast tell this na?

Purab: *sad face*

Abhi: I am sorry Purab. I am forcing you to remember something that you wouldn't want to remember. I am sorry but you should understand...

Purab: I loved Bulbul and she too loved me. We got married. But immediately after our marriage, she died in an accident saving Pragya Di.

Abhi: Pragya?

Purab: Thats Di's original name. Nikita is just a pet name.

Abhi: You didn't answer my question. Was I with you when this all happened?

Purab: You were with me always.

Abhi: I am sorry. All these days, you had to hide your pain from me.

Purab: No, Abhi you shouldn't feel sorry. In spite of what I had done, you forgave me and supported me and Bulbul. You shouldn't be sorry.

Abhi: In spite of what you did? What do you mean by that?

Purab: *gets tensed* You... You... You wanted to get me and Aliyah married to which I also agreed. But then I fell in love with Bulbul. But trust me, Bulbul didn't know that I was engaged to Aliyah. Aliya was disappointed with me and you felt so bad for her that

Abhi: that?

Purab: *realizes he is telling way too many things which might become a shock to Abhi* you were angry on me for few days.

Abhi: *pulls Purab into a hug*

Purab: I am sorry for hiding things from you.

Abhi: *realizes Purab is so sad and decides to cheer him up by teasing him* You better be sorry. I still couldn't believe that you got married. You got any photos of Bulbul?

Purab: *shows a photo from his phone* *starts scrolling as Abhi listens to his behind the screen story for each photo eagerly* *comes Abhigya marriage photo* *quickly takes the phone away*

Abhi: What happened Purab? Why did you take the phone away? Nikita... I mean your Pragya Di looked like a bride. Was it her marriage photo? Wait a minute, she is married?

Purab: *doesn't know what to answer*

Abhi: *sees Purab's face going sad again so decides to divert the topic by talking about Nikita err. Pragya* Of course, if her sister got married, she being the elder sister would have also got married. Right na? 😎

Purab: Yes

Abhi: *smile fades* She is really married? I didn't see her husband at her home. Why is she at her mom's place then?
