Dadi's dialogue: Sarla ji, if you can see any peace in this house, it's all because of Pragya...
And this got me thinking... really? Isn't Pragya the reason why everything changed from a relatively peaceful family to one where there's scheming against each other, relationships breaking and drama everyday? And Bulbul... is she also not part of how this whole thing happened?
If Bulbul and Purab had not fallen for each other, Purab would never have not wanted to marry Aaliya.
This would then not have lead Aaliya to encourage Abhi to marry Pragya. Tanu would never have to become such a negative character if Abhigya weren't married. Even Mithali-Raj relationship would have been spared. No drama, no kidnappings, no murder plans, no fake pregnancies.
All would be peaceful, right? Purab-Aaliya married, Abhi-Tanu one day married too.
So, are the Arora sisters more the reason for most of the pain in MM rather than the peace?
No. I don't think so.
Rabul falling in love- I wouldn't blame anyone for that. Neither Bulbul nor Purab could help it and that's fine- love/sh*t happens. But Purab could have handled the situation a lot better by being more open and honest to Abhi (well, that's with everyone really).
Pragya herself was going through so much (getting-married problems, Suresh etc etc) and it was really Dadi and Aaliya (funny, the two people who Abhi loved the most) who brought her into MM. Abhi was wrong in that he agreed to marry Pragya for the worst reasons but then again, he had some misunderstandings (still, bad decision).
And if Pragya hadn't come, Abhi would marry Tanu and we all know what she is. Abhi would probably be miserable after learning about Tanu's true character and it wouldn't take him long to figure out he wasn't truly in love with her.
If Bulbul hadn't come, Purab would have to marry a tyrant like Aaliya and he too would have been miserable.
Mithali's true nature would have been overlooked by Raj as well and there's a lot more great things that wouldn't have happened if not for the Arora sisters. The Mehra family would have been based on fake love, character and relationships- something far from peace and the definition of misery.
So I would say the reason for the misery in MM are the true characters of some of its inhabitants and the lack of honesty and straightforwardness between members.
So in a way, Dadi is right. If there is any peace in this hell house, Pragya did help to keep/bring it, and to some degree, Bulbul did too. I won't say these two did everything in a very tactful manner, and most of it wasn't even on purpose- they were just the triggers for change and things just happened- but in a long, twisted way, I agree with Dadi.
If only the people of MM understood these sisters, especially Pragya, and saw what an awesome addition to the family she truly is. Abhi, Purab, Aakash, the Dadis- all the good people- have come to figure this out already and to some degree understand her character.
But the rest? If only they opened their eyes a little and saw what a great person they have in their family- what a great bhabhi she is for Aaliya, what a great fellow bahu Pragya is for Mithali to work with...
But such are Hindi serials, where peace is but a fleeting moment, and such is our KKB, which I now refer to as 'Kumkum Thhak-gaya'.
I'm sure not all will agree with me and will have different interpretations of things which I would love to read. I just thought, will all the mixed feelings I am getting from KKB, I needed to say all this- sorry for such a long post!!!
