If she told the whole family, Raj's parents, they would have saved him from jail somehow. Or she could tell Raj Bhaiyya about how his own wife cheated him so that he coudl think of ways to get out. At least he would not have turned a monster.

Also it does not matter it is Mithali or some one , Mehras opted not to trust Raj even aftre knowing him for years which is wrong .. They did not even consider the otherwise option .. So Mehras are whole and sole responsible for his change ..

She did not even try to tell. It was a question of an innocent.

So MMS no one believed her, doesn't mean she didn't try to find the proof. Abhi helped her out. Same way all the more reason for her to help another innocent.

How would Pragya have felt if Abhi knew the truth and decided to not tell because taking her out of the house would have gotten rid of her from his life, which is something he wanted at one level?

A mom like Mitali is worse than a dad like Raj at that time. The dad was still an honest man in Pragya's knowledge and Maa was the one who sent dad to jail for her greed.
