Guys, this drabble I have had such a hard time to complete, worked on it at least 10 times but just give up due to disinterest. But finally today it sees the light.
Drabble: From the horse's mouthIt was not just working out. No matter how many plots Pragya designed to expose Tannu, they all failed. Tannu's baby bump was growing and Pragya still had no clue of the baby daddy.
Pragya was a little happy that at least Aaliyah was controlled. Abhi himself had taken her out of his business and hence she had minimal chances to mess with his finances.
Pragya remembered she had promised Daadi she would prove to Abhi the betrayals of Tannu and Aaliyah. Aaliyah was somewhat out of the way so it was Tannu who was her biggest problem.
But one thing Pragya had realized was that Abhi was not interested in Tannu and that he even didn't hold high opinions of her. So she decided to try this one risky solution that she thought would solve it. She had to do this because it had been too long, her Maa was crying everyday, Abhi was restless too. And she herself couldn't handle this anymore.
That day she made sure Abhi was in the room and she called Tannu in too. She closed the door and asked them both to be seated.
Abhi was looking at her suspiciously while Tannu showed her annoyance.
And then she started talking.
Pragya: So there is a reason why I have you guys in here. I know I had delayed your wedding but now I have come to believe we don't need to go ahead with this wedding at all.
Tannu: Are you mad? What are you talking about?
Pragya: I am talking my profits. Bachelor rockstar will always be more lucrative. If he marries and has kids, we will lose many fans who see him as their would be husband. Many hearts will be broken.
(Abhi is wondering what is she really talking about).
Tannu: That's not a reason to cancel this wedding. Abhi is marrying me because we are having a baby together.
Pragya: I know Tannu. That was the only reason he has had to marry you, (turns to Abhi) isn't it Mr. Abhishek Mehra? Now.. listen to this carefully, both of you, especially you Mr. Mehra, would you still marry her if the baby is not yours?
Tannu: What nonsense are you talking about Pragya?
Pragya: Calm down, Tannu, I want his reaction more than yours.
Abhi: What are you trying to say here? Are you in your mind?
Pragya: You were not in your mind when you thought you made this baby, Mr. Mehra.
Abhi: Say it again..(turns serious)
Pragya: Well, you had confessed you were drunk and lost your senses when this baby happened. Perhaps, it never happened.
(Abhi is thinking of the night the baby was supposedly made).
Tannu: Stop this shit Pragya, if the baby never happened, what do I have in my belly? We all have seen proofs of the baby here, which even you confirmed, Abhi.
Pragya: We never confirmed the baby is his though, right Tannu? And you would never want to confirm either.
(Tannu is all sweaty)
Tannu: Abhi, don't listen to her. She is trying to break us up. She is jealous of me.
Pragya: What is there to be jealous of you, Tannu? I feel sorry for you. By the way, why are you sweating? You want some water? You did prove to us there is a baby, would you like to prove the baby is his too? It's very easy Tannu. Just take some blood from you, scrape his skin and we are done.
Tannu: I am not giving any tests. Abhi don't you trust me that this baby is yours?
Pragya: He may trust you, I don't. Give us a test.
Tannu: There is no way I will give this test.
Pragya: Of course you won't. Because it will prove he is not the daddy.
Tannu: It's impossible.
Pragya: I am only talking because I know it is possible, Tannu. It is!! Remember you were admitted to the hospital? I took some blood from you and got it tested. And of course, I live with him in this room, got his DNA too. And I got it tested in 10 different labs and I have the results here (Pragya took out a folder from the drawer, where she has fake reports but still showing Abhi as not the daddy). Mr. Mehra I have reports from your trusted doctor at the city hospital too (hands over the folder to Abhi).
(Tannu tries to grab the folder. Abhi holds it up to stop Tannu, she grabs some papers and tears them off).
Abhi: What are you doing, Tannu? Let me look at it.
Pragya: Uff Tannu, I have electronic copies of the reports too. And in the next five minutes, it will be sent to your parents, media and of course a copy will be sent to you too Mr. Mehra.
Tannu: Media, how can you do this? Stop it, Pragya. Abhi she is trying to defame me.
Pragya: If you think I am a liar, let's go right now, and get a test done. I can take you to the doctor you want.
Tannu: No way, Aaliyah is also out of station. I am not going anywhere.. NO NO NO...
Abhi: Pragya you can't play with her like this.
Pragya: Of course I can't. And I am not playing. I am not going to release a lie to the media and defame you, Mr. Mehra. You are my brand, I care about you. I am doing this because it's the truth. Okay Tannu, you are not admitting. I am calling Ronnie now, to make him release the reports to your parents and the press at the same time.
Tannu: Stop it Pragya. Abhi do something. Stop her.
Abhi: Tannu, if you are sure about the baby being mine, why don't you give a test? Agree to it and I will make sure she doesn't release it anywhere.
Tannu: Abhi, first stop her (seeing that Abhi is not doing anything, she runs to her).
Pragya: I already texted Ronnie. He should be releasing it anytime.
Tannu: Pragya this will kill my career, my image everything. For God's sake, stop it.. or else I will kill you...you snatched Abhi from me. You destroyed all my dreams. And now I am trying to get married to him and you..you b**** (tries to strangle Pragya).
Pragya: (Almost chokes) You are the biggest cheat in the name of a lover. You make someone else's baby his.
(Abhi is trying to pull Tannu away from Pragya)
Tannu: (Screaming) At least I am not like you who snatched his everything...
Abhi: (Pulls Tannu holding her arms and looks directly into her eyes) So the baby is not mine, Tannu? TELL. ME. NOW. OR ELSE I WILL KILL YOU!!
Tannu: A..bb..h...Ab.. (can't utter a word and is shaking)... I am ...
Abhi: TELL ME THE TRUTH YOURSELF. IF I FIND IT OUT IN MY OWN WAY, YOU WILL NOT SURVIVE..
Tannu: Abbbh.. I am sorry.. I didn't want to lose you.. I just.. forgive me this time...I will never betray you again.. I...
Abhi: (slaps Tannu and drags her out of the room.. Pragya runs behind).
(I had to make Abhi slap Tannu! Uff. I am so annoyed with her continuing lies like forever, and her atrocious acts).
