Pragya was absolutely overboard in pregnancy track, even now!
First she got to know about pregnancy, she had all the rights to walk away from Abhi, regret ever loving him etc. But she rather chose to get Tannu in as well. It was none of her business to do it. She may love Abhi but she did not have to ship TaBhi and TaBhi baby. My expectation out of her was to doubt Tannu further or warning Abhi that he needs to be careful with Tannu and leave him at that.
So what happened was Abhi figured Tannu is claiming pregnancy and he totally disregarded the possibility (because he had never slept with her according to him after AbhiGya marriage) and blasted on Tannu and came home. But what Pragya did was to bash him for doing that to a woman. She even reassures Tannu that she will fix it all. And she tries her best to do it and we know what extents she went to for it. And before anything, she brings Tannu to MM. Who is Pragya to do this? It's between Abhi and Tannu. Pragya had a right to slap Abhi and leave him, not bring Tannu to MM and put things in a situation where Abhi had no choice. It's like Tannu was damn assured she would get married to Abhi right there.
There was one time Tannu is pissed off with Abhi and says she will abort the child. Abhi is like do whatever. Pragya again tells him he can't do that to her. And she assures him she will handle the pregnancy report going to Daadi. But what does she do? She totally messes up the report and it ends up with Daadi beating Abhi up.
Even when Daadi was beating Abhi up, did she protect him? She was not able to. I am not saying she needed to, in one way it was his mistake he was bearing the consequence. But Daadi feels like AbhiGya were a husband-wife and Abhi cheated on Pragya. But in reality Abhi had told Pragya their marriage was gonna break and they were never true husband and wife. Tannu was not news to Pragya. Did she speak about it? Did she speak up and say Aalu was the one who got Abhi into this MU? Nahi!
And if Pragya really loved and understood Abhi so much, she could have chosen to say she will be his wife and they can raise the kid that is Tannu's. At least put forward that option! No she didn't. For her not hurting the baby/Tannu and feeling guilty about it was more important than the bigger picture.
Did Pragya have the confidence that TaBhi would actually make a happy couple and raise that baby well? She thought so. But again that is complete misunderstanding of both TaBhi. Abhi is not able to even have one good moment with Tannu despite being "free" from Pragya.
My point is Pragya's love also has issues. It's not all selfless and perfect in my view. She definitely has not always been positive for Abhi nor has shown real understanding of him.
I was just remembering last KC. Pragya lectures Tannu and even Abhi on how a physical relationship does not mean real love. I don't know where did that Pragya go who had that kind of understanding of TaBhi! This pregnancy track turned her upside down for me. Because I looked at Pragya as the one who had more maturity and understanding in that relationship.
