My family does. It used to be more prominent when my grandmother was alive, but we still follow it. The kala tika and taking salt in two hands and moving each hand in the opposite direction and then spitting (not really spitting) on it...

And I previously posted an image of nimbu-mirchi for the AT, hope that helps!
