IF keeps eating my posts so I'll keep it short. If he felt he had this special relationship with her, if he felt a closeness, he should have been nurturing it instead of taking it for granted. All he did was constantly threaten to end it if she fell out of line, not noticing that it was he who always fell out of line and she was just too lacking in self respect to say anything.

I can't feel sad that he suddenly decided to take notice of and acknowledge this relationship simply so he could place the blame on her for wrecking it. That's too twisted for my sympathy.

taking her for granted would be a central tenet of this (definitely twisted) "relationship". he couldn't have nurtured the closeness - he didn't see it as something positive. like he basked in its benefits without acknowledging its existence basically.

anyway, yes, if he could start to see that he has an end to uphold in this relationship too, that would make a world of difference.

He never believed her to be worth holding on to for him to nurture his feelings for her. She put him to jail, she lied about Purab and now she talked of being faithful to the marriage/ good bahu but slept with a guy in his room. Isn't that the problem here? He comes close to trusting her and BAM- MU! She does not put her foot forward and clear things either.

lk you and i are on the same page about this. no sympathy/empathy/any kind of approval of abhi's pain.

honestly the way his mind works is truly an enigma.. irrespective of the situation Abhi has always found a way to somehow come out the victim always finding a way to bring about the marriage MU and putting his wife in the wrong... according to his psych he married Pragya to wound to punish her for having the audacity to ruin his sisters marriage now his belief on this aspect has faltered time and again yet as foolish as he is he continues to fall for his crazy sister's schemes..

Fine in turn she is not allowed to have a life or a scrap of happiness especially one not associated with him.. subconsciously the man where he has comprehend to an extent Pragya's innocence is infuriated by this sudden backstabbing yet as always he comes across as childish and hypocritical because he himself has flaunted his affair in her nose and has no right whatsoever to be affected nor does he want to be affected here lies Abhi's real problem it's not so much the affair but his emotional reaction to the news he can no longer control what he feels for his wife and that scares him to no end..

There is no excuse for his immature behavior but he can't portray his feelings any other way without accepting she means something to him. today he questioned his outburst sooner or later he will question his need for her.. because he has been fooling himself thus far he feels nothing for Tannu.. if he did he wouldn't have reacted so violently to Pragya's MMS I can't wait to see this man beg for forgiveness that will be the day..!!

Great posts all :)) the guy has a problem maybe some left over trauma from the past. He has risen from nothing so he has to blow up his own importance in an effort to erase the failures of the past? He is irrational, arrogant, persists under some silly MU that has had its rug pulled from under it a long time ago. He persists in insulting his wife's looks, attributes all kinds of evil intentions to her, all baseless, of course, yet expects her to put him on a pedestal and worship him, at least in public, in front of the daadis. Pragya has done this grudgingly before and happily now.
But Abhi's total blindness to his own faults - his mistake in marrying the wrong girl which he is now aware of, his own blatant affair with Tannu, his foul mouth that constantly talks of killing her and hating her - is what boggles my mind. How could any man be so unaware of his own behavior and not give it even one conscious or rational thought?
