I want the AT to be an exclusive space for Aaliya and Shikha fans. Everything you have pointed out is valid; none of those opinions should stop you from posting here. What I would like is for everyone to be an Aaliya/Shikha fan first when you are here. Fan feelings for other characters and actors should not be foregrounded here. But you are right, that is a preference. At the end of the day there is no rule that forbids expressing positive thoughts about other characters or expressing preference for other characters or framing discussion in terms of other characters. My emphasis continues to be that this is an Aaliya/Shikha thread and conversation should be framed in terms of the topic person as much as possible. ATs are supposed to be narrow and strict in scope. That is what differentiates them from open threads.

I was just checking back my posts here, I have not really posted on Aaliyah as a character after around she threw stones at Abhi (that was my point of giving up on her redemption for now). I did involve a bit on the discussion as in how and when Aalu would redeem that was started by another person. Other than that I have focussed on Shikha and havent tried to initiate discussions on Aalu!

Rules are always in the picture and they exist for a reason. They form the structure upon which all of our interactions on this site are built on. We have had a lot of informality in this thread and in this forum and created a warm social reality for ourselves. However ultimately by being on India-forums we are actually bound by its rules. In past instances we may have fallen into the habit of collectively ignoring them. I personally have benefitted from the latitude allowed by people not being strict about the rules. But nonetheless I believe it is important to be aware of them and operate within them. I understand this does not create the most welcoming environment. I favour being correct to being welcoming for its own sake.

Is it mentioned anywhere that talking positive about another character to hope for positivity for the AT character is breaking rules?

we r talking about Aliya ..who is Aliya Abhi's sister. we talk n care about her cox she is his sister.How is her character... negative.and thats why we love her. what is today rakshabandhan.who wants Aliya as a sister..no one..who successfully made us believe that shikha /Aliya ..
None of those were negative from my POV.those r all appreciation.
by saying ''abhi deserve better'' no one is saying she is any less important then abhi.
If apprenticing means only saying ''OMG I LOVE HER'' 😆 '' whatever she does i blindly support her'' then yaar negative characters should not hv an AT 😕 thats send negative message to kids ..that we r apprenticing negative person 😆
