I'll post a flash back write-up soon (hopefully by tomorrow) on why Prgaya is known as Pragya Arora and not Mehra. From there, I'll see the feedback from our readers before the next step... How does it sound?

"Karma comes after everyone eventually. You can't get away with screwing people over your whole life, I don't care who you are. What goes around comes around. That's how it works. Sooner or later the universe will serve you the revenge that you deserve."

Loved it very much.
Loved that Pragya is still wearing her glasses .
Absolutely loved this sentence " She is no longer Pragya Mehra; she didn't even know that she was Pragya Mehra. Yes...Pragya doesn't recognize Abhi and his family. In-fact she has totally forgotten them. Loved that she is oblivious and not affected by his presences .
Please continue with this story.

Hello everyone,
I know I said Flip side of a coin is a OS but based on feedback, I have decided to write up a flashback on the reason why Pragya is known as Pragya Arora and not Mehra.

I'll wait for our respected readers feedback, responses before continuing.

Really appreciate all the response and encouragement provided in this forum.

Still out of town but today I have access and have been able to write up the posting. If the OS/SS jars off with the actual KKB episodes, please accept my sincere apologies. I have more than 10 days worth of catching up to do. Please bear with me on the short comings as I have not fully proof read the write up...

"Karma comes after everyone eventually. You can't get away with screwing people over your whole life, I don't care who you are. What goes around comes around. That's how it works. Sooner or later the universe will serve you the revenge that you deserve."
-Jessica Brody author of The KarmaClub-

Sitting in the car on the way back, Abhi was far removed
from the chattering between Alliyah and Tannu. He was immersed in his own
world. Pragya had looked divine in her green evening dress. It was at the
cutting edge of the latest fashion treads. Sheathed in dark leaf green silk
that bared her shoulders and accentuated the creamy perfection of her pale
skin, she had looked million dollars. She had maintained her conservativeness by
wearing a transparent short fitted coat that gave her a demure look. The long
yet flirty skirt emphasized her stunning hourglass figure and shapely legs.
Abhi's eyes glinted with masculine approval. Oh god! Chasmish can never let go of her
glasses. She had walked in, like a Diva without the glasses, then, with a smile
the glasses was on. Now, her spectacles looked classy and trendy. It has become
the current craze with the trendsetters and youngsters. A smile lit up Abhi's
face when he remembered Tannu calling her looking like a bhehenji...no way...
Bhehenji Chasmish Pragya has flowered to become My Lady Pragya. The world class
trend setter.

How the times have changed. Watching the rain glistering thru
the car window, Abhi was transported back to the day of reckoning... Tannu
and Alliyah were in Alliyah's room when he had walked in. Alliyah was all decked
up in her wedding finery; she had thrown a coin to him and he had caught it in
reflex. "Bhai, Tannu and I are discussing on bhehenji's eviction from our house
after my pheres are completed. Tannu wants to know whether we should kick out
Pragya without much ado, give her lump sum settlement or create a scene,
blacken her name and kick her out without a single cent as compensation. She
wants you to decide. Toss the coin..." "All I want is for you to be happily
married to Purab, my dost samja bhai back in my life, chasmish out of my hair
but..." Abhi had tossed the coin in the air and when he was about to catch
it, his eyes met the chocolaty brown eyes of his wife Pragya and next to her
stood Purab. The coin hit the floor. "It's tails Abhi that means we can have
fun with Pragya. Tarnish her name till no one would sympathize with her and get
her kicked out without a single paisa to her name...," Tannu gleefully announced.

Purab had got hold of Abhi's collar. "If you are supposed to
be my brother, I don't want a sibling like you. We were supposed to have each
other's back covered but for you, blood is thicker than water. For Alliyah's
sake you have forgotten all the sanskar Daddi taught you", Purab shouted at
Abhi. By then, Pragya had already run out from the area, running down the
staircase. "Pragya Di, wait" Purab called and rushed after Pragya. "Pragya Di!"
Purab was stopped by daddi and asked to come to the mandap to commence the saat
pheres. Purab had refused and told daddi quietly that he loved Bulbul and had
only agreed to marry Alliyah because Bulbul hadn't want any problems in Pragya's
relationship at her sasurals. But, he will not continue with this fiasco of a marriage...Purab
would have given the full information to daddi but he was stopped by Robin's appearance,
his face streaming with tears.

"Pragya memsahib has been hit by a car" Robin stammered his
way thru. There was a stunned silence before everyone had rushed to the
entrance of the house. There on the ground, with her body in odd crooked shape
was Pragya. Blood stemming from her head and body. She looked like a broken doll. "Your wife
saved my daughter, I have called for the ambulance," Dr. Avinash, the well-known
brain surgeon imparted the information. He had his 5 years old daughter Shruti
in a tight hold, trying to console her. "This idiot had reversed the car
without checking his rear mirror", by then, Dr. Avinash had handed over Shruti
to his mother and was checking Pragya's vitals. "Her pulse rate is poor, we
need to get her to the hospital to check the severity of the damage", Dr.
Avinash opined with calm confidence (only doctors and medical staff could emulate
during such emergencies) that was misleading.

The ambulance had arrived within 10 minutes, as the call had
been placed by Dr.Avinash, one of the leading surgeons in India who was based
out of City Hospital. Abhi and Dr. Avinash clambered in, into the ambulance
together with Pragya's prone figure. Police too had arrived at the scene. While
watching the paramedic placing oxygen mask to enable Pragya to breath,
Dr.Avinash had enquired about the driver who had nearly hit his daughter,
Shruti. "Tannu's cousin", Abhi responded automatically. "He was drunk, I'll
make sure he goes behind the bars and never see daylight" Dr. Avinash lashed
out.

Abhi looked at the prone figure of Pragya, her fragile
features... He tried to remember the day of their marriage...now looking back,
Abhi couldn't suppress Pragya's image on their wedding day, she had actually looked
like a loving little Christian being thrown to the lions but she had stood firm
against all odds. Pragya was more resilient than she appeared. She had to stay
alive...too many people depended on her...

The wait at the hospital had been exhausting. The accusing
look of Alliya, Tannu, the helpless look of Pragya's family, the franticness of
daddi and on top of it the pure loathing look of Purab had nearly killed Abhi.
At last, Dr. Avinash and his team of doctors had exited the operating theater;
Abhi whose anxiety was writ large in his dark kohl black eyes approached Dr.
Avinash followed by the whole family. "How is she", Sarla ma rushed with the
query. Her voice had hit pitch high by the time she completed her sentence. "Her
left arm and right leg tibia are broken, we have corrected it. She has had
severe hemorrhage in her brain, corrective surgery has been done" Dr. Avinash
assured Sarla ma. Reading dire meaning into that assurance, Ahbi had turned
pale as milk and gasped, "Pragya?" "I'm sorry; I didn't mean to worry you.
Physically, aside from her broken arm and leg, she would be suffering nothing
more than a few bruises. However, we need to wait until she recovers consciousness
before we can determine her brain condition" with a soothing but tired smile
Avinash continued with his explanation.

24 hours later, Pragya regained consciousness but...her
memory...??? A standard examination was conducted after Pragya recovered her
consciousness at the hospital and it revealed a discrepancy in her perception
of dates... Yes, dates... Pragya's memory had misplaced what the doctor
estimated to be the past 6 months of her life. She herself was unaware that
there was a problem until it was pointed out to her. She was fully in control
of every aspect of her past as it was then till 6 months ago, but all events
since that time are a closed book to her.

Hence, she is Pragya Arora; she doesn't remember being
Pragya Mehra...
