I think it's split personality or else why would Pammi ask for no Diyas when Ayaan and Kanya were to be married?

Also Ranbir/Kanya had a court marriage, not in front of fire. So fire is something that triggers the personality.

Also the split personality would be a more interesting storyline where Ranbir would have to save Kanya from herself (Natasha)!
