Dr ashutosh walked after anji n ranganath but they entered their room n closed it in a huff!!nidhi was going to knock but ashutosh stopped her n got her back to their suite...as she looked up worried..he calmed her n said"chill..give them 15 mins then i d call them here...n let me talk ok"??nidhi nodded but continued to walk agitated..as ashutosh went in to change n appeared in his black hoodie n tracks...looking devastating ..but nidhi didnt seem to notice ..he bit his lip n asked"nidhi..chai"??and then as she seemed unresponsive he himself got up to brew some ..n got her a cup with some chips.."eat..nahi to aur gussa aayega..when u r hungry ..u tend to be short tempered..bilkul bachchon ki tarah..lo"and nidhi smiled as she accepted the tea n chips...and said"kya hoga anji ka"??ashutosh looked serious n said"aur dr ranganath ka bhi...samjhaana hoga..dekhte hain..."and then as nidhi got up to keep the cup..he held her hand..just lightly..entwining their fingers n looking at them..almost symbolic of their lives interlinked intimately...and as nidhi smiled faintly..he took the intercom n dialled dr ranganath 's room."hullo..dr ranganath..i would like u n anji to come to our room...immiediately plz...ab isse order samajhiye chahe request..i d expect u both in 10 minutes"!
Dr ranganath looked a lil dazed n flustered at the chill in ashutosh's voice..he had not been expecting this call...dr ashutosh normally never interfered in the private affairs of others...at least he never used to..but now it was different..anji was dr nidhi's best friend..almost like a sister...so no wonder dr ashutosh would protect her interests...ranganath seemed bugged..but sighed n said"chalo..dr ashutosh ne bulaaya hai...we have to go.."!!and an angry anji followed.
Dr ashutosh opened the door leading to the drawing room of their massive suite..as he said"come dr ranganath...come in anji...nidhi buss aa rahi hau nahaa ke..tea coffee"??dr ranganath shook his head n then said in a controlled tone that had a deep underlying irritation "sir aapne bulaya..."ashutosh nodded and then looked up as nidhi entered in her pink gown..he smiled at her..n then looked at anji n ranga..his expression changing.."well main dekh raha hoon..tum dono mei..kaafi tension rehti hai...infact i had thought ki iss trip ko enjoy karoge..as u live in a joint family there...but..u dont seem to enjoy..what is the matter"??dr ranga looked at anji..who seemed agitated n responded"jeeju..i will tell u..this marriage is an arrangement in which only i have to adjust..subah se shaam tak..inke parents ki sewa karo..aur phir inki...mera to kuch astitva hi nahi hai..."dr ashutosh looked at ranganarh..who countered 'sir..she is so spoilt ki agar bedroom ki chadar bhi maid nahi theek kare to mujhe karni padti hai...pata nahi madam kya karna chahti hain..i really dont know.."!!before ashutosh could ask anji..she shouted"jeeju..i am not an aaya butler cook...i have a life of my own..i am a fashion designer...but design karna to door mujhe to dresses pehana bhi allowed nahi..jab bhi kuch stylish pehanti hoon..inki maa ka gaana..."ranga almost yelled"maa ko nahi laao..."and ashutosh raised his hand to stop both of them firmly and then looked at anji..affectionately..almost like a father n said"anji...try to be a lil reasonable..dr ranga tumhe work karne se to nahi roke rahe..thoda tum bhi samjho...after all nidhi ko dekho..kitna adjust karti hai..she has made baba n armaan her family.."as dr ranganath noded in agreement ..anji retaliated "jeejs i dunno nidhi adjust karti hai..apni khushi se..yaa aapke darr se"!!nidhi looked up..in anger...but ashutosh signalled her to be quiet..and he looked at anji"anji..mere khayal se nidhi meri izzat karti hai...darti nahi hai mujhse..."anji answered"aap ussse 20 baras bade hain..so this so called izzat..dr ranganath to meri age ke gain..so main kyun aarti utaaroon unki..sorry..i cant be nidhi"!!dr ranga spoke"sir she wouldnt listen..iske parents ne bahut ziddi banaya hai isse"!!ashutosh raised his eyebrow in anger n said"sorry ranga..this is not required...you have to respect ur inlaws..aur solanki saheb aur aunty bahut samajhdar hain..problem tum dono mein hai...n these r all symptoms ..asli wajah kuch aur hai.."!!anji looked at dr ranganath...n said'i will tell u..he s not ready to give me any freedom..for anything..buss"as dr ranga seemed to say ..ashutosh patted him"ranga..cool down..aur anji tum bhi...you know what..tum dono pyaar to karte ho ek doosre se..per shayad kyunki tum dono ki shaadi ki koi khilaafat nahi hui na..maan gaye sab..to u guys dont value your togetherness..agar mere aur nidhi ki tarah se suffer karna padta to shayad samajh paate..ki ek saath rehna..saath uthna..chai peena..kitni badi neymat hain..you got everything just too easily..aur haan freedom to milni chahiye ...per anji koi rishte me complete freedom nahi samvhav hai...a lil accommodation is the basis of marriage..."!!anji looked at ranga...both feeling a lil ashamed...as ashutosh continued..putting his arm around nidhi"tum log kya sochte ho..ki hum dono mei difference nahi hote??off course hote hain..aur humari to umr mei bhi itna farq hai..jaisa tumne kaha..but we handle our differences..n you two also need to learn that..tum dono bahut achche log ho..dont let the beauty of your relationship be wasted...thats all..."dr ranganath got up..n looked at his wife...and sighed"sir thanks...aapne itna socha...per i really wonder ..kya rasta hai..per haan..koshish karoo ga..kum se kum i will try..."ashutosh looked at anji...n she wiped her tears n said"i dont promise anything..but yes...try karoongi..aapke liye.."ashutosh patted her n said"mere liye nahi tum dono ke liye...tumhare future ke liye..."!!anji stood up..n held ashu's hand ...as both she n ranga withdrew ...
Ashu looked at nidhi...n said"fragile peace hai...but at least its better than war...dekhte hain..."!!!as nidhi got up...ashutosh pulled her to him...n as she sat in his lap..a lil subdued ...perplexed at anji's anger...ashu asked "nidhi..ek baat poochoon"??n she nodded...ashu asked"kya jo anji ne kaha ..woh sach hai..are you scared of me...??aur kya tum bhi dukhi ho joint family mein???"nidhi looked at him..n then smiled"aapko kya lagta hai??darti to kya zid karti itna??aur rahi baat baba aur armaanji ki...let me tell u..un dono ke bina humara ghar..humara parivar ..humari duniya adhoori hai...main adhora ghar nahi chahti..."and as ashu smiled...nidhi pulled at him..."ab chaliye ..walk adhoora reh gaya humara...aur dinner bhi to...pastries wait ker rahi hongi...chaliye ...one two three.."!!and ashutosh laughed!!!
