Blast from the past- Replacements(just fun..nothing serious)

This isn't a SK and MB comparison post...so please don't spew hatred against them...let the discussion be about probable Ashus..and keep it fun

please read this ( if you are bored)..it is an old post...around the time of MB's replacement...they were looking for new Ashu..it is a 38 page long thread... around 8 people approved of SK ( though all didn't have him as a first choice).

They had come up with really interesting names...so I was thinking...yun hota toh kya hota... spent time imagining the choices as Ashu.

First was RR...he would have rocked...man...( uska chotta bhai Rohit bhi chalta tha😉)

Then Cezaane Khan ( cute ..hot He would have looked too soft for Ashu)

Then Sameer Dharmadhikari ( whistles😉)...

Manav Gohil ( Accha choice tha...would have looked similar to MB..dimples and all...donno why it didn't work..or maybe he wasn't approached)

Harsh Chayya- 9 people wanted him...( he is my fav but ...as Ashu??? doubtful)

Please add your fav to the list- Now that KTLK has ended..think about who else could have portrayed Ashu well...( forget about MB and SK...that guy needn't resemble them)

I watch old episodes of KTLK, here's someone who is reading old posts on KTLK... 👏 😆

TFS Vidishaaji. Will go thru the post later, but for me SK joining in as Dr. Ashutosh is one of the best thing ever happened to the show. He truly rocked as Ashuji. 👏 I love MBji as Dr. Shashank in Sanjeevani-a medical boon. No comparison in terms of acting b/w Ashu1 & Ashu2.

Though I always find Ashu1 as most efficacious as the hospital dean & as Dr. Ashutosh in/outside KGH but the BDs & both leads in two separate frames in AshNi scenes are really intolerable. SK made this character his own than staying in Ashu1's shadows & I simply adore the ethereal chemistry b/w SK & KK ❤️ It was leads' charm only that kept me glued to the show even when we were dished out horrible tracks like khushi & than daksh-divya 😳

I would have loved to have Cezaane Khan as Ashuji... Just like KK & SK, KK & CK too would have looked great together!! ❤️ Prerna-Anurag used to be my fav. TV couple till I didnt have AshNi. Now Prerna-Anurag come second & AshNi numero Uno for me. 😳 And Cezaane Khan can portray layers very well. Especially, U should watch him as helpless then bereaved father and angry/jealous husband during Prem's kidnapping & after Prem's death. In fact, KZK always represented him as a layered character who could never forget his ladylove, always wanted her happiness & still could never make her happy.

@Bold: he defininately would have... In KZK, the epi. after Prem's death show the inner turmoil of a father who couldnt save his son, blames his wife & her ex for his child's death & sympathizes wifey as bereaved mother but hates her for taking Mr. Bajaj's help. Eventually they get seperated too. 😭 CK has portrayed these emotions par excellence. 👏

As to transporting all KGH girls to dreamland... YES!! I second that!! 😃 Baki sabko chhodo, mein khud AD#1 ho jaati 😉 😆

Just imagine cezanne calling - Nidhi !...kitna romantic hotha...not that MB or SK were bad...

He would have rocked in Kerala track too...KZK mein bhi toh bahut separation tha na...he did a fab job there...

He would have played the layered character very well..Anurag had flaws..so does Ashu..minor hai..but they were flaws still...I would have drooled overtime over his gussa-wala looks🤬

Strictly my POV: Ashu1 established the layered character of Dr. Ashutosh so perfectly, that cannot imagine anyone else portraying it such brilliantly... Whenever I watch the scenes when Nidhi is fired from KGH & all scenes past that, I find that the great actress Nootanji's genes speak for themselves... This guy's acting is just MashaAllah!! 👏👏👏 And, post replacement, I respect SK tons for making this character his own & giving his 200% to the role. He used to get hate mails & was condemned beyond tolerance but still his commitment to the role was undeterred & commendable!! 👏👏👏 Million thanks to KK for carrying all the load on her shoulders when there were BD scenes, 5 ft. dist. romance & later when there was no male lead till SK entered. Hars off to SK for taking up this challenging role & giving us our adorable AshNi.

RR as Ashu ka pata nahi... But he is unbeatable as DM in Bandini. 👏 Malik & Santudi are unforgettable 😳 Sadly didnt see Asiya Kazi in any good role post Bandini.

P.S. I dont intend to create any controversy here b/w Ashu1 & Ashu2.

Asiya was awesome..but had such a short career...sad...

KK played her part well and supported KTLK..but she doesn't seem interested in doing soaps anymore...can't fault her...roles hi aise hai aaj kal..can't see her as a servile bahu...sadly we fans miss out on daily dose.. whatever happened to the industry..it produced gems when I was a kid..now thatI have grown up , all I can see is trash on the tube
