KZK mein Anurag-Prena toh milte hi the bichhadne ke liye 😭 CK would have done awesome job in all seperation scenes in KTLK.

KTLK would have been written slightly differently if he was the lead...but man..he would have rocked in the mallika-baby - separation track...the angst

CK ka chehra hi caring type ka hai..so he could have played the caring- friend of Mallu part with elan..

KK played her part well and supported KTLK..but she doesn't seem interested in doing soaps anymore...can't fault her...roles hi aise hai aaj kal..can't see her as a servile bahu...sadly we fans miss out on daily dose.. whatever happened to the industry..it produced gems when I was a kid..now thatI have grown up , all I can see is trash on the tube

I echo you... I miss KK tons... She came as host & did ads & JDJ etc. but want to see her in meatier role. Such a stellar actress, not utilizing her acting talents properly... Hope to see her soon with promising TV/movie project.

And I honestly agree to your opinion that shows with good content are missing. Earlier we had finite episodes shows with a definite concept. Fell for ktlk mainly for its unique age-gape lovestory & amazing dialogues in initial episodes.

True. Mallika feigning illness track might not have been there as it was incorporated mainly to suit SK's knee surgery in real life. Later also, BB's tumor track was modified to suit SK's injured hand in cast. CK would have given tough competition to SK for all the scenes U mentioned. Alas... He didnt want to come grey-haired & demanded much higher price than KTLK like restrictedly budgeted show could offer. So finally jo bhi hua, achchha hi hua... It's just that I love CK-KK too as AshNi. ❤️

My mind is re-imagining scenes with CK...and how tracks would have been different if SK's limbs weren't in cast at diff points of time..my brain is reworking some scenes with CK in mind...who knows I might come up with a new SS ( disclosure- I had Harsh Chayya in mind while writing Hasratein SS..Ashu's role was tailored to fit to his image)

Both characters had flaws, layers and both characters are very honest. Ashu is man of few words but absolutely a man of words. Anurag had completely diff. storyline and didnt have layers as Ashutosh had like being orphan, having lost his most prized possession BKM, loving & then marrying his intern 18 yr jr. to him, yearning for his own flesh & blood etc. But from when Prerna decorated his "eastman colored" room to multicolor till they got transformed into spirits, he loved only & only Prerna. He may sound spineless that he succumbed to his mother's wish & married Komolika, but he was helpless and he always wanted everyone's, especially Prerna's happiness. The scene after Bajaj's death is so heartwrenching when he asks his father why he is always the reason for Prerna's tears... That day he had given Prerna new bangles & had convinced her to move on in life as Bajaj's wife. And then Prerna cries seeing him pointing to Bajaj's deadbody... God... the pain on his face... And as U mentioned, the care exuding from his eyes... Later he doubted Prerna everytime when Bajaj was involved in MU but still he was victim of circumstances and behaved like "Anurag" only, not like "hero". CK was just fabulous in all these scenes!! 👏

Post KTLK, I havent followed any other show but I watch old epi. of some shows: KTLK of course, All available epi. of Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai, Sasural Genda Phool till amensia track, Bandini, KZK & Pavitra Rishta - till all these 3 shows took first leap. Whenever I watch KZK, I too try to imagine CK in some scenes of KTLK. 😳

Except for MB I dont know anyone by name on TV

I did watch Anurag basu, but that was prerna-centered story... and after marriages. re marriages and re-re marriages, I lost interest on anybody.

Nice post Vidishaa the MB part of the show had the story but sad they had to use BDs hats off to KK for carrying on the show in such circumstances

SK and KTLK are immortal even though the storyline had vanished in thin air..the onscreen and off screen chemistry was the USP ..

About someone else coming in those shoes .. Did not watch TV shows for a long gap in the early 2000 so don't know some of the names u mentioned but may be manav Gohil could have fit the bill who knows..
