Pansy Ma'am, very interesting assignment you have given out here. Dropped by here after a while and was glad to read this.
Thank you dear..I'm glad you liked this...Just a try on my part to keep forum active...hope everyone contributes. And I hope you understand what I mean by everyone 😊
Unfortunately, I do not have the time to take it up. Would have loved to explore it further. Even had a few thoughts running through my mind. However, it is nice to see that two more people have taken the story forward, each in their own way.
Although, I can't take the story forward, I just wanted to analyse the original concept a bit. Hope that is okay with you.
Thank you for analysing the concept...Tapu and you have favoured us with a nice analysis.
You have deliberately not revealed the name of Nidhi's husband, the man she came to London with six years ago. However, you have her son call Rohan Papa. A red herring or an opening, as one would like to see it. I mean, you could assume Rohan was indeed her husband and the father of her child. However, the fact that she says that she is grateful to Anjie and Rohan for being there for them negates this possibility. You do not thank your ex for being there for his own child, I can understand Nidhi thanking Anjie but thanking Rohan too simply makes no sense, if the child is his, then he is as much his responsibility as Nidhi's. So, to me, it does not appear that Rohan is the child's biological father.
@ red the line is giving a big hint and you have caught that well.
Secondly, Nidhi is clearly yearning for someone. The lines of poetry are a clear pointer to that! It is clearly indicative of a past, a man whom she deeply loved and who is not with her now, However, their parting is not bitter. Circumstances have clearly played their part in separating the two. The parting could be permanent or temporary, he could be dead or just far away.
Yes the poetic lines in the end are pointing towards her yearning and are very much part of the chap.
This is my interpretation of your beginning. Of course, the story can be taken forward in anyway that others choose to interpret it. All I tried to do here was second guess you a bit!
I'm so grateful to you for giving us your interpretation...of course the story can be taken forward any way as I said earlier strands are open and we can weave anything we like...
Hope I am not too far off the mark!
P.S - My guess is that Rohan and Anjie took Nidhi into their home either when she was pregnant air after the child was born. Of course, post her separation from the child's father for whatever reason. Therafter, for some reason the child calls him Papa. However, there is the issue of surnames. Am sure that a 6 year old would raise that issue. So, there is that point to be considered!
