In the suburbs of London, Clapham, Nidhi in a small house after taking her morning shower was on the trot making breakfast for her son and getting ready for hospital. She was working in a nearby hospital as a gynaecologist...six odd years passed since the day she landed on London airport with her husband and six month's baby in her womb... her son...her reason of existence.
"Aryan get up baby...get ready...mom is getting late"
"Mom! Let me sleep...you go to hospital...why are you spoiling my holiday's"
"Baby! Mom can't stay here...I've to go hospital...and you can't stay here...Nancy is on off today...you forgot"
"Call Papa! He'll come here and stay with me"
She mumbles to herself, "Papa" a gloom spread her face she got lost in thoughts but then Aryan's words pull her out back. "Mom! Don't feel bad...I'm wide awake...I'll go and get ready"
Nidhi hugs her son, giving him a morning kiss she moves to kitchen. After setting breakfast table she calls Rohan and the call was answered by his wife and her childhood friend Anji'
"Hi Anji! Good Morning"
"Good Morning Nidhi! How are you? Howz Aryan?"
"We are good Anji...let me know if you need anything...I can get on my way"
"No Nidhi! We don't need anything and why you bothering... Rohan is here...he'll get if we need anything...you drop Aryan here...and attend your duties"
"Thank you Anji! I don't know how I'd have survived without you and Rohan being there for us"
"Come on Nidhi...now don't start singing your old tone"
Nidhi who was getting emotional smiles hearing her words and hangs up the phone. After having breakfast she drops her son at his papa's house.
She was driving towards her hospital when her mind starts musing on Aryan's words. While travelling to Rohan and Anji's house he asks her, "Mom...Is Anji mashi my step mom"
His words stun her and she turns to look at him, "Noo! Baby, who told you?"
"Mom my friend Jane...she told me my papa's wife is my step mom"
"No Aryan...don't ever repeat those words...and remember once for all...Anji is your Massi...you got that"
Aryan nods his head and mutters, "I'm sorry mom" Nidhi ruffles his hair and drops him at his papa's place.
A honk from car passing by pulls her out of her musings...She sighs deeply... and continues driving...

at times, i touched the zephyr's hand to (my) eyes
at times, clasped my arms around the moon's neck
A few days ago Jayasree ji in attendance post asked for an assignment...and I told her I'll think about one...so here is the assignment...let us write this story...I've posted the first part... now you all have to complete...whoever intends to write the second part will have to stake her/his claim and can update in 24 hours...the update should be minimum-one page( word document)...maximum- no limit .
