Good post Mudra, very thoughtful and thought provoking. Since we are looking at scenarios, this is my basic take. I think with the current story the makers seem to be in a rut, they are nt sure how to proceed. SO yes, in a way stopping at this point is probably a wise decision for them.

Having said that when (not if) they come back I really want them to develop a new story, new background for the characters, keep the core characters like Ashni, Ranji, Armaan, rohan, Mallika intact. The family members can be changed based on the background of the characters. But they need to make sure that all these core character are shown every week... and a story developed for each of them.

The other change I want to see is the makers go back to the original character sketch for Ashutosh... a 38 year old successful surgeon who has a failed relationship in his past and is vary of falling in love or getting married. SO he is still single, but Nidhi, the young intern has caught his attention.

Yes, I do hope they maintain the medical background as it is unique to this pair and this show... the educated middle class is just fine, bur they do need some better sets, better lighting, better color coordination... as an architect I could detect so many inconsistencies during this show, and also detect so many places where repair on the sets had not been done... basically this is a middle class background but it is definitely upper middle class and I can safely say they do not shy away from color, or a beautiful interior decor... the bland interiors did nothing to enhance the show...

I do wish the story to have some complicated background for both the protagonists, simply because this will provide more meat for the makers to develop a story and bring about issues. I want them to maintain spotlight on all the other characters and create enough sub-plots that as and when they need a respite from showing Ashni they can fall back on some other character's story for a couple of episodes.

In this story it was Ashu, his baba, BKM and once all this was ironed out (even if we were not happy with the result) they seemed to flounder. But f they had more than one issue in the background this rut would not have set in...

For example, I think even Nidhi should have some personal demon she is fighting which makes the falling in love all the more interesting. Ashni are fighting each other and themselves and ultimately love wins.

I hope you get my drift here... if needed I can even suggest a couple of character backgrounds I have in mind to explain this...

Other than this some things which could have made interesting scenarios have already been suggested by the docs here. Thinks like emergency, one of the main characters missing in it, losing a patient after fighting their tough case, or Nidhi losing a patient for the first time, these are some things that should have been shown but strangely was never considered important.

The screenplay seemed loose at times. And most importantly I want them to get over this hurdle they seem to have that everytime they attempt romance it should be interrupted. This is a big turn off for any viewer, as it is a negative approach. People wanting to see some nice moments of Ashni will tolerate it being interrupted once or twice but everytime... no one wants to tune in to that! I think they need two specialist screenplay consultants, one to write the romance scenes and another for the medical scenes, their current team seems to shy away from these particular parts.

Beautifully articulated Aarti! It's the fact the CVs didn't even have the characters sketched out in order to formulate a storyline that matched their characteristics. I think they need new CVs who can sketch out the characteristics first, build stories around those characters/characteristics, create plots and sub-plots, use the actors to the fullest, and complete storylines - not drop them incomplete! Also, remembering that this is not a saas-bahu type show, but more reality based, so create toned down drama that suits this unique show.

@aardhan,

Thank you very much aardhan for such an insightful and detailed working of your views...we always look up to you for this kind of positive and realistic feedback.

you have mentioned

I hope you get my drift here... if needed I can even suggest a couple of character backgrounds I have in mind to explain this...

will you please give a concise description in a separate reply in this thread? Deepa said, she could give this suggestion thread's link to the makers...

Thank you once again๐Ÿ‘

ok teacher ji here is what i expect from KTLK 2๐Ÿ˜Š

this time firstly i want is CV's not to mix up all the track in one go..that is to say introduce new character when it is needed and that character must be something which can be easily acccepted by viewers...some logic should be there in bringing that character not like daksh, khusi and bajrang bali ๐Ÿ˜•
then process of falling in love should be shown in slow and gradual way..not in hurry ...
then i want cv's to spend some good budget on clothes of leads atleast..i remember when mallika is going to throw nidhi from high peak of mountain,,.that rainfall scene ..in that scene nidhi's cloth colour is sticking on her hands too..due to rain scene going on ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

then i want rohan definately in this season 2 also..and till end of the whole season i want him to stay..now how they potray his character that depends on CV's..but he is a gr8 actor and i want him โ˜บ๏ธ

then i also want CV's to spend some budget in interior of the house in which ashni r staying..i mean to say is ashni r using same bedsheet from the start of the series 1๐Ÿ˜ฒ

then i want cv's to celebrate all major festivals atleast..we missed this time Kc๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

rightnow this much is coming in mind i will add further later ok..i hope its ok naa

You are right Hina about having solid character sketches... Now that show makers have basic story with them and enough time too... they can workout from the grass roots..
They can surely come up with a better show!

When the story began, it was like watching real people, Nidhi a girl we could relate to, Anji the friend we would all love to have, DB, CB and Ashu a man scared of emotional bonding. Nothing over the top.

In my opinion upto the Kerala track and then the wedding and Nidhi's desire to pursue a career the show had a plot and retained focus.
After which random characters (even Mallu ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜†) were brought in as piecemeal additions to the story.
We then got stand alone episodes which were good but the whole story seemed to be meandering and turning too experimental.
Now 2nd season needs a solid story where the protagonists are A&K and their age-gap issues personally and professionally. it need not mean MU or separation but tackling different situations in life together. Most importantly, the ones who comes into A&N's life should not be ghosts, pests, sleazy and shrieky๐Ÿ˜†

Thank you waves...๐Ÿ˜Š..that was a good summary of our expectations for the next season.

It was really irritating to see the characters working 2 bit roles and gone...
