Yes Deepa, too much of a good thing is not good. Ashu has to learn to ration his kindness and generosity, the way Nidhi does.

Even she is compassionate, kind, helpful, etc, but she always has her eyes and every sense open and when she realizes something is amiss she tries to get to the bottom of it. In Ashu's case, he just gets blinded by goodness. And maybe, just maybe he needs to stop opening his home to everyone, coz he seems to get emotionally attached to every guest, even without giving it a conscious thought.

Its as if he had closed himself all these years and Nidhi has opened the flood gates. Now he is overly kind, sensitive, and wants to share love, very unlike the closed, khadoos Ashu who was captive in his own fort.

I, somehow, really can't understand Ashu's soft corner for Khushi. She's never done anything worthwhile to earn it. Maybe he craves a child far too much?
But ya, I do feel bad for him. First Mallika and now Khushi. Everyone has this kind of obsessive disorder when it comes to him. Khushi's track has lived it's life. It needs to end now and the child should leave (:
