In DK age was not that big an issue, may be due to diff in time and place.

Ktlk has moved on to diff level now , ASNI are still doing great job with lots of HUMANE weaknesses.
I LIKE NIDHI MORE THAN ZOYA BEC SHE IS JUST LIKE US .WEEK+STRONG+SENSITIVE+INTELLIGENT+VERY PASSIONATE AND LOVING.

I have not seen DK but Zoya appeals to me on the basis of what people say...Nidhi is a character I have been unable to connect with from Day 1...she is just too immature for my liking 😕

Dr Babs...I think we have a lot more of such sillily stuff in store...since the focus is on Nidhi's professional growth...they simply don't have the wherewithal to get even an OT scenario right...

[I feel both the serials have same theme ;but the similarity ends there, KTLK has completed 250 episodes whereas DK had just 13 episodes. To maintain the same integrity etc. is possible in DK. But KTLK has to have different characterisation of the lead actors as more drama is involved in 250 episodes than DK's 13 episodes. We need not compare as still we are ardent followers of this show.

Dhoop Kinare...have watched this drama countless times and till now it fascinates me. Dk was the reason that I was so excited to watch KTLK as i was curious to know how two individuals with so much age gap between them, adjusted to each other.
The only similarity between Nidhi and Zoya is that both are very lively. The chemistry between Dr Ahmer and Zoya was a treat to watch. She had a very strong personality and was career oriented.
Sujatha its my request that you should watch DK or the scene of her conforting Dr Sheena, the way she handles her baba's heart attack, her and Dr Ahmers convo after her resignation and the last scence.

I watched DK yesterday after noticing how people were raving about it. I was skeptical since the series was made when I was a few months old...felt that I won't be able to identify myself with the characters...but I was wrong...KTLK is not a patch on DK...Rahat Kazmi and Marina were awesome..Marina was believable and Kazmi portrayed his part very very well...Watching DK made me realise why Ashu was so attached to baba ka makaan...somehow KTLK never managed to convince me. Zoya is the clear winner

Aarti, I honestly don't think characterizations will have to be radically altered for the purpose of drama or extending the storyline...because Kyunki Saas lasted more than a 1000 epis...and the basic characterization remained the same...

However, I was not comparing the shows...I just wanted to know more about Zoya since I find Nidhi lacking in emotional depth...! We had done a similar comparison between Dr Ahmer and Dr Ashutosh too..!
