I think KTLK is nowhere close to DK except for house issue and age gap. I had watched it when I was studying and liked it at that time. it was the best show of 80s-90s But for 2012 KTLK is the Best. DK was short and sweet where as KTLK is daily soap with Masala.When none of the characters of KTLK are close to characters of DK why compare Nidhi with Zoya. DK is of course a must watch show.
To be honest I love our sweet, cute, innocent and bubbly Dr. Nidhi with all her flaws. She is perfect for our TDH Dr. Ashutosh.

And as to why now, I would say why not...I have not seen DK...and I just want to know what people who have seen think about the characterizations...I'd asked earlier abotu Dr Ahmer and Dr Ashutosh...and now I am asking them about the female leads...end of story...

I was trying to compare to be honest...actually trying to understand where the characterizations were coming from...were they true to the original or had the writer taken complete liberty to come up with his own creations...call it a study of KPji's mind, if you like 😆

About the khichdi, well...what can i say!

Just saw some bits of DK on YT, the performances and the storytelling has a certain finesse that KTLK simply has not matched..
And yet, KTLK is still among the best compared to what is otherwise dished out on Indian TV today...no wonder it still has a loyal audience willing to stick with it through thick and thin!
