Why cant there be JUST FRANDSHIP..?? - Page 2

For me the term friendship ceases the moment love creeps in . Mallika was not a friend from the beginning. Rohan's case is still more worse.He knew Nidhi is interested in someone and out of the blue his friendship turned into love.Now I suspect it has budget angle. Instead of bringing another character who is more eligible to Nidhi in term of age they have utilized Rohan for the same. Ktlk has insulted platonic friendships.The annoying thing is the way these so called friendships are eulogized. Yes good opposite sex friendship exists. My husband still has very good relationship with his college mates and one of his married colleague . They share all their problems but .know their limits.

While it is eminently possible, there is always the danger of one of the parties developing feelings...but even if that happens, normal people don't obsess the way Mallika was shown obsessing...she behaved like a woman scorned...not like a true friend who had known all along her friend did not care for her romantically...she seemed to have lost her mental balance!

I completely relate to what happened with Rohan...subconsciously he was attracted to Nidhi but her feelings for Ashutosh puit a lid on it...when he felt that their relationship was over forever, he let himself hope...

But yes, the reason why it happens in shows is possibly because it is one of the greatest sources of conflcit, the lifeline of all TV soaps...!

Very interesting post..tanu ji.. Yes, a guy & girl can be frnds.. Regarding shows endlessly showing hw just frnds turns into lovers.. Its common tv, movies.. Just yesterday i ws watching Rajan shahi's tele short film. Ter meri love stories.. Same as wat u told happened in that STF..
