Sujata.. There is no denying that Ashu needs to repent. Nidhi has been shown as a self-respecting girl. She quit City Center hospital when she found out that Ashu recommended her. She was willing to leave her house twice when Ashu snubbed her...

What we are saying is that slap does not even in the least bit redeem Ashu. That slap was not for Nidhi or what Mallu did to Nidhi, it was for making a fool of him...

If you look at it, Ashu did not waiver in his trust to Mallu, He knew Mallu wouldn't poison and if she did... there has to be that confidence that she would stop him.

It would be a good track for at least a week where Ashu discusses with Nidhi, Shares why he trusted Mallu so much, repents and talks his heart out... tries to do romantic stuff for Nidhi...

The redemption is not a slap... It is a track but KP might like all other sweep it under the carpet.

Yes, I too see the slap as a way to settle his dues with Mallika...what we need to see is how much of his anger is now going to directed towards himself...because if Mallika proved that her trust in him was misplaced, he has also proved to Nidhi, albeit unintentionally, that her trust and faith in him as a husband who would trust and protect her was misplaced...so he needs to pay some price for that...for letting a young girl and her trust and love down...!

No doubt the current track is a crap. But it has come to a beautiful part where it has tremendous scopes for the writer and actors. They can make the show really worthwhile if they are not going to hush up Ashu's reaction in a single scene . This is an excellent chance to redeem his character and make him lovable. Hope they use this opportunity to create a meaningful bond between the couple..
