Watching Yesterday's episode made me realize that KP has based Ashu on himself.

Once Nidhi did exactly hat he wanted... see his face light up. He then decides to reward Nidhi. Suddenly smiles at her, holds her hand , says pyaar mein kisi aur ki jagah nahi and then apologized to DB.

Had the apology been requested before and then the ambulance scene... Ashu's character might have been saved.

Both have the holier than thou act and its my way or the highway.

Ashu will not admit anything until all hell is let loose. That also only when has proof before his eyes. Then he will be regretting everything, it will probably happen at the cost of almost loosing nidhi, either by her walking out on him, or by Mallika causing her physical harm, or maybe even both.

He seems to me to be a person, who thinks ke Jo main kar raha hoon woh theek hai and to h...with what anyone one else thinks. His character lacks humility, but is full of ego and arrogance.

KP is a megalomaniac. He has delusions of grandeur and omnipotence regarding himself. I guess in the beginning people might have praised him a bit. Well the ego maniac that he is got used to it, and now that no one does, he can't accept it. There fore he toots his own horn. Jab koi nahin karega to apne aap ko praise kar leta hai. Kya karein KP ke mature world mein hum jaise immature log rehtein hain, so Inki mahanta or superiority ko nahin pehechan sakte hain.
