He had accepted the house ..because it was given to his daughter.. not to him.. no where we have the proof what he would have done, if the house was given to him.. so cannot say he is selfish.

This i agree... 😳 He has kept it as a dharohar.. till his daughter is mature enouf to take a decision on it..

When his daughter wanted to marry a person ( though has got a very high reputation as a doctor) double her age, not only samaj, whatever point DB raised for Mandira were 100% true. No one can deny the age factor or the mental age-gap factor... This Ashutosh never had clarified his stand about their relationship to Col Verma. All that he did was, the confrontation at Kerala... I do agree, he supported Mandira, but in his own case, he has not clarified his POV... Ashutosh and Nidhi also never discussed to each other about their relationship in the family's / samaj's POV

I think... he said WHILE defending Mandy that... 'Mandy is balig n has right to choose her partner.. n samaj cannot force her otherwise' ... infact the Confrontation in Kerala was totally uncharacteristic of the Ashu of earlier times...

His daughter soldoff Ashu's dream house... She frantically tried to reach him... It was Ashu's turn that time to be stupid... Also, when she sold off the house, Col.Verma had no idea.. remember he was lying on the bed with heart attack.

Its ok.. she sold the house.. all dutiful daughter should do that.. but what about after that?? Wheres the remorse.. or the grief of having made his daughter sell her Nanas amanat (if not Ashus dream)

CB says, he is not against love marriage... thats because he did the same may be.. but against age-gap marriage .. in which he said about samaj ka reet rivaaz..

Later episodes never covered Mansukhani...as far as I remember... yes.. there could have been some dialogues nevertheless.

Its ok.. she sold the house.. all dutiful daughter should do that.. but what about after that?? Wheres the remorse.. or the grief of having made his daughter sell her Nanas amanat (if not Ashus dream)

If I am sure he said so... some time during the hospital I vaguely remember. But I agree there should have been more such dialogues to show his remorse.
