It was during her high school days that her best friend Anji introduced her Uncle Dr.Ashutosh to her.He had come there on vacation.
A:Nidhi..this is my dearest chachu Dr.Ashutosh.Chachu,this is my best friend Nidhi.
He looked at her with a smile.Nidhi was thrilled and happy when he smiled at her,she did'nt know why she felt that being noticed by Dr.Ashutosh was something valuable.
Ashu:Anji always talks to me about you on the phone.Through her i know you very well Nidhi.
Nidhi smiled.
Ashutosh took two big chocolate boxes.He gave one to Anjali and one to Nidhi.Nidhi was surprised.
N:It's for me?
Ashu:Yes.You don't like chocolates?
N:I love chocolates.But i can't believe that you bought one for me.I mean this is our first meeting.
He smiled:I told you i know you very well through Anjali.So i bought it for you.
She became very happy:Thank you so much Dr.Ashutosh.
He smiled:It's my pleasure.
Nidhi did'nt eat the chocolate for 3 days as she did'nt want to finish Dr.Ashutosh's lovely gift for her.
After a week...at Anji's birthday party she saw him again.
Nidhi wore a beautiful pink frock.She went to talk to Ashutosh.
N:Hi Dr.Ashutosh!
Ashu:Hi Nidhi.You look sweet in this dress.
She felt that she was on the top of the world as she got admired by Dr.Ashutosh.
Ashu:You ate the chocolate?
N:Acually no.
Ashu:Why?You felt it's not tasty?By the way don't think it's a medicine as it's given to you by a doctor.
She laughed hearing his humorous talk.
N:The chocolate looks so sweet that i did'nt feel like finishing it.It's cruel to destroy it.Right?
Ashu:Good thought.Your heart is so soft that you can't even hurt a chocolate.But Nidhi,only if you eat the chocolate i will be happy.
N:Really?I am sorry.
Ashu:Never mind.
Nidhi ate the chocolate that night itself.
She rang up Anji.
N:Anji,please give the receiver to DR.Ashutosh.
Anjali did so.
N:Dr.Ashutosh,i ate the chocolates.Are you happy now?
Ashu:Good.I am happy.But did you finish the whole chocolate box?
N:Ya..in one sitting.
Ashu:My God!I can't believe it.For me you finished the whole box?But Nidhi,it's not good for your health to eat too much within a limited time.You should take care of your health.
N:Ok.
She said in her mind:It will not harm my health as i did it for you.
The next day Ashutosh bid them good-bye.
Ashu:Bye Nidhi.See you later.Study well and be a good doctor.
She simply nodded her head.She was very upset.She did'nt know why she felt so upset about his departure.Due to pain she could'nt speak anything.She just waved her hand at him.
For some days she was very upset.
She asked Anji:Dr.Ashutosh is so handsome.Buy why is he not getting married?
A:His marriage was fixed with Dr.Mallika.She was a very beautiful slim fair lady who had lovely tresses.But her heart was not at all like her appearance.At the day of their wedding she eloped with her boy friend.
Nidhi was shocked:What?How could she be so cruel to a nice man like Dr.Ashutosh?
A:After that incident he stopped believing in marriage.He decided not to get married.
Nidhi felt sad for Ashutosh.
Nidhi waited for Dr.Ashutosh for years.He did'nt come.Now she is a doctor.Today he is coming.After a long time she is going to see him.She decided to look beautiful before him.She wore a saree.She adorned her ears with simple earrings.
She looked at the mirror.
She was satisfied with her looks.
N:How i can't wait to meet Dr.Ashutosh.
