When the news of Mohnish quitting Kuch Toh' was buzzing in the market and before Sharad was signed as his replacement, many were hopeful of a track wherein Rohan would emerge as Dr Nidhi's love interest. Fans expressed disappointment in varied social networking sites after their earnest desire turned into dust.

Furthermore, there have been also rumours that Karan is not too happy with the way his character is being dealt with in the show. But he has a different story to tell.
