Whenever i watched ktlk it was the subtle expressions of mb that attracted me to this show.We can find agressive passionate scenes on most of daily soaps.
But in ktlk especially acting by mb n kk showed love can be so subtle, innocent and pure that hatred will also surely fall in love with the idea of love. PLZ RETAIN THIS WEB OF MAGICAL LOVE WOVEN BY LEADS BY GETTING MB BACK !!!

your post heading is marvellous. In this world without touching in love is impossible but our MB has proved this wrong in KTLK

while many may feel differently here, I feel exactly how you feel... there was a haunting quality about MBs romance, which was so heart touching

The times he was awkward, was when the scripting was awkward-

He was at his best in the violin scene- he could have beaten any lead actor and given him a run for his money.

In fact every romantic scene-in his cabin when he sees the rose, when he was romancing a BD but at the dhaba-just watch his expressions-they were expressions one could die for...

In fact I eve feel, if its a touch romance-anybody can do it- its this haunting love which both KK and MB are so good at-which ONLY he could do!!

And I am ready for any brickbats I am going to receive from many here !!!😊

Sudha and Tulika
You are absolutely right...No-touch was needed in the age-gap romance...In my days (I am 40+), interaction was limited only to talking but touch was the funda developed later...Many other shows on the TV, in fact we cannot watch with children around...

u know what Sudha, KTLK had stopped working for me even before MB quit, & I had almost given up...coz BDs & separate frames just dont work for me... n though DK was a total no touch romance, it worked coz of superlative screenplay, which according to me is the backbone of any tv serial...n screenplay HAS to change with the times...I had time & again suggested both on IF & on MB's wall that KTLK should retain DK's essence, but with MODERN treatment...

...n the fact is, however haunting ASHNI romance might have been...the lack of "touch" b/w the leads was a BIG drawback in today's times...by TOUCH, I mean a hand hold, a shoulder pat, a gentle wiping of tears, etc etc 😳...NOTHING else 😉...😆

...n I honestly don't know whether KP or MB is to be blamed for this "no touch" romance...but for the "haunting" part, i give equal credit to MB & KK- 2 powerhouse performers...😃

Yes Renu- I know what you are saying, wiping away a tear or shoulder pat...those scenes wherever possible were indeed awkwardly shot, and even I wondered why.

I have always found that the romance which we -as viewers can all so easily think of- in terms of dialogues or scenes, couldnt be thought of, by so called creative people. In fact, I have felt frustrated enough to want to go and give those guys some lessons !! 😊😊

I mean , for eg. after the violin episode I would have expected both of them to atleast call each other and have a romantic talk, or at V day, when Ashu leaves, Nidhi goes with him and mentions atleast something about the events... It was all so much of patchwork, that we were left searching for small moments of romance-a dialogue here and expression there 😕

Without doubt both are wonderful performers. I just feel, that the expressions of MB- as a long distance romancer 😊- would probably be unmatchable by any otehr performer who may attempt to replace him...if at all !

@Mudraswathi
Swathi i agree with ur last line 100%.
today i am ashamed to admit that i too supported some posts where this no-touch romance was criticised.
What acted as an eye-opener for me was the new promo of Sony tv's 40+ romance...which was honestly speaking quite embarrassing...particularly as i was seated with my 11yr old girl.

But those just my POV. Call me old-fashioned or even prudish. Am ready to take brick-bats from other viewers but i don't see anything wrong in watching a 'clean' show once in a while.
At least it can be watched with the family.

If you Like NO TOUCH ROMANCE.You should definitely watch SAILAAB on Zee tv. Its from the early2000s. One of Zee tv's best show ever.

Renuka Shahane and Sachin Khedekar. Most intense screen romance ever seen without even holding hands. Unfortunately I haven't seen it on the internet.
If there is anyone who has seen Sailaab do comment.

Why 40 plus..I think India ( the metro cities) has changed in the last 15 years. I was in India till 1994..Bombay and let me tell you Hugging, Holding Hands was limited. And I thought I was pretty LIBERAL during those days. I remember I was hesitant to touch my FIANCE's hand..those were the times and there was a different beauty to all that.

Times have changed. I like that the new generation HUGS more often..Holds Hands more often, I like the fact that there is so much warmth around...Without Touch its a little ..awkward...
