Shagun is like an auspicious thing.. u give as a token ...of blessing.. for fixing engagements or popularly called RISHTA!

Like we say... SHAGUN ka Tikaa.. in north india when relations are fixed the girls side does Shagun ka tikka on th wuld b groom... similarly for girls also...
