I realize I am a little old for this forum. I grew up watching BUNIYAAD, TAMAS and HUM LOG in the mid 80's. Even the stupidity of YEH JO HAI ZINDAGI was superbly acted (Nidhis father, Vijay kashyap played Bhattacharya babu...absolute riot he was) out was a pleasure to watch. These 4 shows were absolute gems, seen on the obsolete Doordarsahn. Took a long sabbatical from TV shows and got back to TV shows a year ago close to middle age.

What happened ??????? Where are the writers anymore?

An educated doctor like Nidhi says " I am going to the hospital to check if he is wearing the specs today?" " if I give a plucker, who will pluck his hair?" pacing up and down whether to give him a hair dye? An educated 14th ranker not even a doctor yet does and says this? Not yet completed internship so she is not a doctor. A doctor attempts suicide and is free to come back anytime without being mentally evaluated if she is fit to practice? No police report...nothing. A doc who doesn't care for her life, how much will she care for you?

Are juveniles writing this show? IQ challenged writers on the loose in India today? I don't know really what to even say looking at this pathetic story line and trash dialogues. The youth of India is not like this. They give and arm and a leg for IIM and medical seats. Not to become like this. I could go on and on but have to stop. Sorry for venting out my frustration.

Not jus these 4 ... DD has given absolute Gems... like Udaan .. Kshitij ye nahi ... Talash .. Farmaan..Bharat ek Khoj ...so so so many more

While i dun belong to that era.. but have grown up watching these gems.. n so totally agree with u.. KTLK is such a royal disappointment...

A great oppurtunity squandered royally...!!

Its impossible to believe that this show is written by th writer of Rang De Basanti

Good post..You have echoed everyone's sentiments here...Show is bordering on idiosyncracy...Paathetic piece of writing by so called eminent writer...Hard to digest...

Yes Agree..Doordarshan had gems of shows earlier..like Humlog,Humrahi,Talaash,phulwanti...

KTLK writer has adapted a classic and ruined it completely...

Not sure about the writers, but we are surely mental patients that we watch this crap and we need medical treatment that we will still watch this show for the love of ASHNI...😡...( God, I still remember the term ASHNI, very strange 😕 !!!!! If this show goes on like these , after someday I will surely ask What is exactly ASHNI...Who are they ? What do they do ? 😕 Do they actually love and be with each other that they are called ASHNI !!! 😡)

I remember all these dramas from my childhood and "Farmann" was my favourite. My mom and me used to see this with out missing...

Those are great days. But if you see the TV world today, you will find some one washing clothes, another bahu talking about dustbin, one more sweet looking stupid will give you gyan on how to cook Thepla or khakra (I do not know the right names of these dishes)...

A rich business tycoon works from home for months together and his top issue will be buying paper plates to serve food in his bro's marriage lunch...

So KP Uncle is trying to compete with all these guys... Why we are more frustrated is they have promised a story with a decent outlook and now they are cooking some thing like every one else is cooking.sad part is KP is not able to succeed in that also.

By doing like this, they are like Dhobhi ka Kutta na ghar ka na ghat ka..

AF even in these types of Dramas...there is consistency in storyline and characters..they dont have MPD...like Ashu,Nidhi have...nor they show overnite White hairs...

Youth have been shown aimless,brainless, shallow...mockery of medical profesion...and all this is dished out from a renouned writer???

You are right. I mentioned in my previous post some other day, star plus bahus show consistency in characterization. From 2 years Gopi is on dot... Never she behaved strange the way Nidhi is oscillating. The character is sticking to same behaviour in all situations... That is an amazing thing the writers of that show have achieved. How foolish she is a different thing

I think it is ghost written by an intellectual Pygmy!
How difficult can it be to COPY Dhoop Kinare?
And the two female doctors are nauseating-one is a conniving witch & the other is an absolute air head-Blondie let lose in a hospital!BAH!
I too belong to the age bracket of the thread maker aa07,with similar happy memories of the good old serials & started watching this show because I liked the original! Wish I hadn't!

No I think my cat did. It's ridiculous. My husband is 36, almost all grey hair, wears glasses - It's silly what they are showing
