DEK has logically gotten affected coz its airing time from debut was 8.45pm.. which has now shifted down to 8.30pm... hence many viewers mite not have grasped the slot change n hence din watch it from 8.30pm sharp...!! M sure DEK trps will b back with a bang...!!
Coming to Sumeets views.. yes thats how TRP is counted... from 8pm to 8.30pm without changing for ads ... n hence 15mins reduction wuld n should help in increasing rather decreasing trps...
But most important fact is... TRP IS COUNTED FOR THOSE VIEWERS WHO HAVE TAM METERS INSTALLED IN INDIA...those who dont have those meters... there is no way to MEASURE THEIR VIEWING PATTERN...

My surprise was wrt to KTLK and as you pointed out this is not a right excuse for KTLK. There is a genuine down fall of TRP in KTLK's case
