Ashutosh - character flaws?

Dont know if this was the case in original too but Ashutosh's obsession over the house is getting to be a bit too much ..and is making him look like a self obsessed selfish person!

Seems to lack reason, rationale when it comes to the obsession with the house or his "hate" towards the owner!

His anger directed at Sanjeevani, Kaaka even Armaan ...all for a house?

Also his anger towards Nidhi for not coming seems to be a bit too much and unwarrented considering he hasnt spoken to her yet...Is this how deep his love is.Why wouldnt he trust her a bit and realise there might be a reason for her to not show up or take his calls??

I'm beginning to feel Nidhi is probably too good for him...

Perhaps my expectation is a little too much but my disappointment with Ashutosh seems to be growing...
