Too much Too soon? - Page 2

I want to know what the main problem is:

I guess this topic has been traversed a couple of times...

Even I feel the pace at which Nidhi is falling in love or is being beleievd to be falling in love with Ashutosh is too soon..

DK is a classic and its having its aura done at a time and now to have something on teh same basis is good and will have its own dimension and ist an adaptation so it will be on the similar lines of age ga between two individuals who fall in love the concept being the same but they will have some new elements and some needed changes

The time line of this show runs for 250 + episodes compare to 13 + episodes the prior DK ran so I hope teh pace is maintained and we get a beautiful passionate love story between Ashutosh and Nidhi brewing up

See,I don't think I can agree if we say that both shows don't carry the same message.It's basically the same story,same characters,same emotions.I am fine with Dr.Ashutosh to some extent,though not at the same level as Ahmer.Nidhi,I cant seem to like her,somehow.Zoya was bubbly,"responsible" and full of life.Nidhi is anything but responsible.It is definitely possible to be full of life,bubbly,and yet remain responsible.Like Shreya said,she has no ambition in life.Not just that,she does not even know or think about the hard work she is going to have to do once she joins the hospital.The only thing she thinks is the boss and the opportunity she will get to be around him.It somehow irks me to see her like that.

Anyways,I will continue watching,because I cannot miss MB on screen. 😛

DK was a cult show some 25 years ago. lot has changed since...

Plot of the show is beautiful. KTLK is keeping up with it. DK was a short show with 30 episodes, and KTLK is 200+ episodes so change is expected. it is making it own path way, i am glad i do not like to be a copy.

It's dog eat dog world, channels, shows want to be on top. and they want to make commercial viable shows.. so they come up with the gimmicks to lure audience. Sorry to say...indian Mass loves the rona dhona, one super woman(BAHU) show(MISS Kapoor's success mantra). i wish KTLK
was CLASS show not MASS show.

one of the required ingredient of remake is right TALENT. i feel DR. ahmer was a little reserved personality (Good actor) GENERATION Y would not connect with him. MB as DR A is suave, winsome,sexy(in his own way) and TOP NOTCH expressions r worth watching any time.....KK as Nidhi is doing well too. they need to bring a change in that character too. young generation is more confident,vibrant now. The chemistry between the lead actors is amazing...it's a treat to watch them together on screen. DK had more depth but slight low on romance and Passion the very essence of love story.
I agree KTLK is no picture perfect show. Like u said they could use better reason to bring Nidhi back to hospital. and they need to implicate better researched medical knowledge..making lot of blunders.

i watched and enjoyed DK then , m loving KTLK now. NO comparison for me...

Having said that... ...KTLK did hold a lot of promise for me.. being an ADAPTATION of DK... n i too like u.. was starry eyed to see .. how Rajan Shahi n team adapt to DK... but yes.. the DK purist in me is completely disappointed ...!! Nidhi returning to her profession for the sake of Ashutosh trivialises the whole thing n not just the nobleness of the profession..! The love story is moving too fast.. considering the show is targetted for 200-250 epis... n the parallel tracks are not as much properly developed as required!

Coming to the segments u have referred... the wedding track was brought in purely to make the show.. 'VIEWER FRIENDLY' as shared by MB himself..!! The accident track right now is brought in for MB as he is not well.. so lets discount that..!

I believe firmly that RS has taken the central theme of the show DK.. 'age gap romance between doctors' and given it a TODAYS makeover...! Whether it is good or bad.. its for an individual to decide..!! For me... MBs Ashutosh is Sweet.. Approchable yet Reserved... Rahat Kazmis Ahmer was Classy and Serious...!! Krtiz .. Nidhi is bubbly, cute, OTT... more of a child woman... while Marinas ...Zoya is Stylish and charming...!! I wuldn wanna compare them.. n i wuld suggest others not to..!!

I love AshNi... n i love KTLK... n shall continue to..!! As for DK... once a classic... always a classic!

Back in the day girls were shown as much older than they really are

Nidhi is 20 something hip happening girl, wheres her heart on her sleeve, krazy bindaas girl...etc..

she is infatuated with Dr A since he is a gentleman..its not hard at that age to have feelings for older men...since none of the guys in their mid 20s will do...her feelings reflect her age

Dr A is 40 something dr, who may or may not have had a relationship with a women before...he is slow, steady, compassionate and caring...which is also reflected in how he expresses his emotions...right now he has a road block up so he cannot let himself fall in love..

Nidhi is essentially a copy of Dr A when he was in his 20s , hence him opening up to her much more easily

I like Nidhis character...she portrays a 20 something girl well..rather than acting like 40.which she is not

show is going great

the only thing I dont like is the change in Dr. Malikas character

I want her to be dignified and proud...not stoop to some annoying nagging jealous character
