If you really want me to list out everything...I will...I'm not an Irfan fan *shock and horror* :P...yes the dialogues were much better in DK...but even then it was a slow show in many ways...many times when they could have made an impact, the scenes didn't REALLY make an impact...not on me atleast...DK waali Anjie largely bored me to death...I LOVE KTLK waali Anjie😆...Mallika is a major improvement over Sheena and her ceiling stares...overall I wasn't MAJORLY impressed by the handling of the Ahmer-Zoya track by the end of the series...infact the ending itself felt kinda abrupt to me😆...

Having watched DK, I can actually see AMPLE scope of improving on the original IF the KTLK team would notice the options they have...and I'm not sure where/if/how they are doing that.

I love this avi too...the way Zeenia's looking at him...fantastic acting by Deepti too...she emotes so beautifully.

Since they are going to stretch a 13 episode story [dhoop kinare] to suit today's audience, I would suggest that they introduce interesting subplots. Keep the romance intact but also bring forth the medical background and establish various cameos, perhaps introduce more Doctors too.

LOL I watched tonight's epi and I know what you mean...god that was a cringe-inducing scene...this is all getting majorly melodramatic now...making the obvious even more obvious like you said *sigh*...Overall also it was a pretty lame epi...all that OTT 'comedy' with Nidhi and Anjie's dads...really not that funny.

Great post...n well needed too...

I havent watched DK even one bit, so i wont be comparing..instead i would like to highlight few pts that lack in ktlk..

1. Hospital scenes-- seriously does Dr. Kotnis hosp have one 3 rooms (ashutosh's cabin, dr. Ranga's cabin n the children's ward..and sometimes they go so kind as to show the OT n that too without the operation table) and 4 docs(nidhi, ashutosh, mallika n rangnath) in all? they are merely using the hosp as a prop atm.
I hope they DO show a few more docs and esp the interns, which i dont know why, are completely forgotten.

2. I'd like to add one more pt here. The interaction of nidhi with fellow interns is minimal or hardly shown, even though at a workplace u interact with ur colleagues firstly. And that invitation to fellow intern's shaadi after resigning was confusing..😕

3. The supposed 'attraction' btw ashutosh and nidhi is annoying me to no extent. maybe one can understand nidhi's attraction for ashutosh,even though she says he is 'khadoos', but i just FAIL to understand the pull experienced by dr.A, who i'm sure would have seen girls to some extent like nidhi and who 'supposedly' Doesnt believe in love. So how come he's falling for nidhi this early??😕

4. Dr. Hardstone???-- i dont find dr. A as hardstone, since he smiles with everyone and is too lenient, like in shehenshah's operation, nidhi's break-in in his cabin, while he should, acc to me, be a no-nonsense person.

On that highlighted part: Couldn't it be possible that the intern was in the same Medical school with Nidhi?

Sukhi, when that lady maaroed the "pyar karne waala PATI mile" line, I was just like *headdesk*...I guess no desi soap can be complete without these kind of cheesy lines *sigh*...and to make it even more "perfect" they have to cut to a shot of Ashutosh just then...what "subtle" foreshadowing🤔

Totally...there are hardly 3 doctors in the hospital and hardly any of them have been shown to have proper interactions with Nidhi...in the hardly 2 days that she was even at the hospital...and we are expected to believe that these ppl are all sooo close and bffs now 😕...WORD on the fact that the hospital is a mere PROP to these pp...as are all the extra doctor characters...when in reality those characters can be well used to develop the story.

And yes, Nidhi-Ashu's 'attraction' is not being given a good gradual build up...they shouldn't be thinking about each other SO much also at this point...

^^ damn I just come online to check reviews before watching tonight's hour long epi - and Tanu, you don't sound encouraging at all.
