Oh okay! So they don't have too much then. Is that going to air on Sony?

So why are they starting Neha track now?

Actually they should have shown that Soha was adopted. Even that would have made for an interesting plot. The way I see it, S1 Dev & Sona esp pre leap are way way better than most leads on Indian TV. Yes there were issues & flaws but at least there was no manhandling, cheating, random marriage with third angle, random divorce & remarriage etc. They had a lot of realistic scenes & conflicts which is a big deal on Indian TV (because standards are that low when it comes to daily soaps). Even post leap, most shows show stupid third angle & jealousy tracks and custody battle and what not so I consider KRP better in that regard too. Which is why I had some expectations from this season but this season has been the worst. This is not even Dev, Sona & Ishwari. They look like aliens who are using the same names

Yup, adoption track would be any day better than Soha being Devakshi's biological daughter, simply because of Ishwari.

I agree, S1 feels like home, especially the first 150 episodes or so. After that, they went the typical ITV route, mute ML, tolerating FL, in laws busy making the couple's life hell, etc. But something about Devakshi sustained even then, within the four walls of their room (outside that Dev's mouth could never open lol).

Post leap, my hate for DevIsh strengthened so much, and I blame the writers for that. They simply couldn't retain anything good about Dev, nothing likable at all IMO. And then, instead of tying loose ends, the writers chose to do the convenient personality transplant overnight😆

Honestly, I didn't expect much from S3 simply because franchises don't have a good track record of doing well. The promo got me hoping, but subdued immediately by the very first episode

I HATED the infertility track and even though the show made it such that even after Suhana, Dev-Sonakshi got back together because of their love for each other and not Suhana, I always wanted Sonakshi to ask this question to Ishwari. Would you accept me if Suhana wasn't there? Would you accept me for who I am.

Neha had chosen to never have a child. If Sonakshi couldn't conceive, would she be accepted as wholeheartedly? That would have been the true redemption, considering how awful that infertility track was.

But okay. They got back together, Ishwari mended her ways to a large extent and let them live their lives. End of S1.

Then we get this S3 where with no rhyme or reason, everyone is back to preleap avatars, with glimpses of post leap love and acceptance 😑😑😑😑

Same, watching the infertility track made me feel nauseous, it felt so degrading as a woman. That phase was so regressive & headache triggering that I don't even dare to re-watch those eps.

Ishwari remained the same damn person throughout the season, literally zero character development. Yes, I love the sona-ish scenes post her pseudo personality change, but on an overview, the transformation was negligible. If Sona was truly pregnant pre leap, then also we would've seen the post leap version of Ish.

When Sona came to know that she's pregnant for the second time (shubh ke waqt), I thought when she'll come to know of the actual complications, she'd tell Sona that her life is more important than the baby. For me, that would be true redemption. But what actually happened - she was happy that Sona is "selflessly" risking her life for the Dixits. I felt so mad to have been watching this show with zero character development then😆

I knew right then, Devakshi & ishwari dynamic is never gonna get sorted, so I was glad the season ended. Ab jao bhaad mein🤪 But no, here comes S3 to give more repeat sessions of all the crap.

I feel so agitated whenever I think of how no one EVER told Ishwari that she needs a psychiatrist!😆 I thought post leap badass Sona would tell her, but I expected too much I guess😆

Honestly the entire credit goes to the original writer. Who created these flawed and very real characters but was still able to retain their redeemable qualities. Neha was written beautifully initially. She was very real. Why couldn't they just bring back the original writer. The ph owes him. The entire fan base has developed because of his writing. The other thing that s1 was memorable for was it's costume n original soundtrack. The costumes were so simple n the lead had a no make up look. Back then other shows had all their leads wearing heavy jewellery at home. Which was absurd.

Did he write any other shows?

I remember Shaheer had tweeted back then (post marriage) that he is officially doing a saas bahu show now. Later, during an interview, he said it's weird how Indian TV MLs have all the brains when they are boyfriends but lose all their intelligence after becoming husbands. Wonder what these ppl think of this current season because it's 100 times worse than anything than happened in S1

He wrote Sadda Haq for the same PH on channel V. But he said in an interview that he considers Kuch Rang (esp the first 150 odd episodes) his only half decent work on TV

I honestly think this mother's death fiasco is something they randomly pulled because the actress who plays Asha backed out. She made a post saying things did not work out with the PH a couple of months back. So the makers just made it a plot line without thinking things through. Dev has a lot of flaws but he loved Asha (in fact they had so many scenes post leap & he liked her the most too in the Bose house & she was always the one who pushed Sona to give Dev a chance even if Sona was reluctant). And it really doesn't make sense that he did not bother just for a random seminar. And now that they inserted this stupid plot, there is no way something this huge gets resolved by building a school in her name. The issue is, they more or less had a happy relationship by the end of S1 and S2. To restart this season, they reversed all of that & showed crap & have no clue how to resolve it now so they end up showing more crap

It wasn't just this matter when she was treated unfairly. Her concerns regarding Ayush matter were completely ignored by him. He gaslighted her on numerous occasions on this. His entire personality was close to vile actually if you go back and watch those scenes. She was at least a little distant when she realised he wasn't giving her necessary support. But now post the pill popping incident...she isn't even able to do that.
