Today while driving, I had a thought and wanted to share. It is also a question that I have. If anyone has any clarification they can give me for my question, it is very much appreciated. Thank you for that in advance. So here it goes.

Shaavi, this was the biggest logical flaw in the show, far as I know. Forget that SOna was carrying around tickets to brandish in front of DEv (thus clearly showing that she knew he was not aware of her visit , that she wud have to furnish proof to show that she DID come), when Elena comes to Bose house during Saurabh marriage talks, Bijoy goes to great lengths to hide SOha, saying that he does not want Elena to know that Soha exists. So all the Boses very well knew that not just Dev, even Elena wud not be aware of Soha's existence. SO who exactly did the Boses, including SOna, think was aware that SOna HAD come with 6 month old SOha?? Perhaps GB, right?? Which is why my question- which loony woman wud come to a house where she knew things always got hidden or manipulated bfr they reached Dev? She NEVER intended for DEv to know about SOha, 100%, She was just assuaging her own guilt, that's all by making a very half baked attempt just for namesake.

I have only one question didn't she have his personal phone number, didn't she know the address of his office, didn't she know Tina, mamaji, Nikki and riya 's number

Exactly, Suchi, did she not have Dev's office address?? She knew he was a workaholic. Wudnt she go there to tell him abt their daughter?? First of all, which Mom wud drag a 6 month old baby down to a house where she knew she wasn't welcome??Arre, she did not even tell her own sister, Elena. What crime did Elena do??

SP12, after reading the stories on Wattpad, I rewatched krpkab from leap. Thank you for writing those stories. They gave words to all those unspoken thoughts and questions. With this rewatching, I did realize a few things. One of them is Sonakshi and Bijoy's relationship and what they showed.

I agree that the execution could have been better and clearer. They could have shown things in first person perspective like how they showed Dev and Ishwari. But I guess they wanted to keep Bijoy as the side character. But I did appreciate some of the things they showed.

On Dev's engagement day, Ishwari goes to Bose house. After she talks to Sonakshi, Bijoy calls Asha asking what Ishwari was doing there and what she was telling Sonakshi. Asha replies that Ishwari was doing something that he could never do. That she was there to give Sonakshi her happiness. When Bijoy protests that Asha was doing wrong by comparing him with Ishwari and also saying that Ishwari cared about Sonakshi's happiness than he himself. Asha replies that he was an egoist and selfish who had become blind to his daughter's happiness. And she goes on to say that if Dev goes away from Sonakshi's life then, Sona will leave their life. Bijoy who doesn't believe this asks Ishwari what she was doing there. Ishwari tells him not to let his pride get in the way of his daughter's happiness. And tells him that it is going to take Sonakshi away from him and leaves. Saurabh then confronts Bijoy and tells him that he was someone who had always been "wrong. When Bijoy tries to stop Saurabh, the later says that Bijoy cannot change the truth just by his loud voice. It was true that Bijoy was wrong on all counts. And he also advises Bijoy to go and accept his mistakes in front of Sonakshi.

I felt this whole scene was parallel to Ishwari and maamaji's conversation on Sona-Ritwick engagement day when he comes home in inebriated condition. That time maamaji tells Ishwari almost similar dialogues. 😊 . After which Ishwari announces that Dev should marry Sonakshi. I felt Bijoy taking back his promise was similar to this. The one difference is Bijoy wanted Sonakshi to say that the oath he had made her take didn't matter. With or without the oath, she didn't want to be with Dev of her own free will. That she was happy without Dev and that Dev was nobody for her. Similar to Dev telling Ishwari that she had taught him his responsibility, but had not asked his choice after the second breakup, Sonakshi sits in front of Bijoy and says now all of you realize that my happiness is with Dev.

Here what I felt they showed was Sonakshi was a "part os Dev's happiness. She was one of the people whom he needed to be happy. But for her, he was the only one needed to be happy. That all her happiness was related ONLY with Dev. Every one of her mood depended on him. Sitting in front of Bijoy this is what she accepts when goaded by Saurabh. And her saying that she loves Dev and cannot live without him was enough for Bijoy to realize the artificiality of his actions. Suddenly all his justifications regarding protecting Sonakshi from Dev became shallow and meaningless. Sonakshi went from being a victim to a willing partner in what she had done which he had thought were coerced. Ex staying back at IN for additional week. There Bijoy was convinced that Ishwari and Dev had forced her, which is why he felt so elated when Ishwari tells that Sonakshi is coming back. He had felt he had won. But hearing his daughter's confession of love, all his "achievements of showing Sonakshi that Dev was not right for her was all useless. He had done that with the belief and trust that Sonakshi didn't love Dev and she had been coerced by Dev to marry him. But only at that point, he realized that he himself was responsible for Sonakshi's tears and not Dev. That he had broken apart his daughter's family for his selfishness, his blindness. Which is what led him to do very similar to what Ishwari did. That time Ishwari announces that Dev should marry Sonakshi. Here Bijoy tells that Sonakshi should go as Dev would be waiting for her.

The most important aspect of this conversation is at that moment when Sonakshi accepts that she loves Bijoy, the bond that these 2 shared was broken. Sonakshi lost respect for Bijoy and his morals, values and principles, while Bijoy lost complete trust on his daughter. She stopped being his legacy heir. Someone on this forum had written that the opposite of love is not hate, but indifference. Even when you hate a person, you still are in a relationship with that person and that person matters to you. Even though Dev was angry with Ishwari, he wasn't really indifferent to her. She still mattered to him that he had trained Golu to ensure that Ishwari took her food and medicines in timely manner. He never really stopped taking care of her nor he treated her as a "relative stranger, like a casual person of his life. She was still his anchor and that special person. But that is exactly what I feel happened with Bijoy and Sonakshi.

From that point forward, where Sonakshi accepts that she loves Dev, the relationship that Bijoy and Sonakshi shared, broke. Neither was important to the other in things that matter. They became relatives on a business level, on account of being the father and daughter. But neither one cared what the other thought about them anymore. They mattered to each other on superficial level, that responsibility level and not beyond that. This led to Sonakshi moving to IN with just a phone call to Bijoy and Bijoy not caring enough to keep Sonakshi's room as it is for her. Bijoy becomes willing to remove all of Sonakshi's stuff from Bose house. He no longer wants to keep Sonakshi with him like he had wanted to. Neither one is a priority in each other's lives.

This was shown in such a subtle way that none of this made an impact like it should have been. This breaking apart, the indifference should have been shown in a better highlighted and clear way. In direct ways that was easy to understand by everybody.

@SHAAVI Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it. To be very honest I wrote the story only for a few readers and you are one of them so it was overwhelming when you said you liked the story which again to be very honest was inspired from the discussions here on the forum, I just gave a structure and flow to it. As much as this is my story the equal credit goes to each and every member on this thread who have shared their opinions.
Please do keep sharing your opinions here or on Wattpad so that I can put up a good storyline for S2 of this story.
