Nitu agree after chula drama sonakshi pretend to a perfect person, which she isn't .
Actually she's so much insecure about herself, before the break up drama she used to think Dev is just perfect, so see always pretend like a ideal woman

But I'm happy at least she tried to be a someone which she wasn't, and it was just for Dev and his family

But after post leap she used to behave like she's only intelligent woman in the world

@Jalk, thank you very much for sharing the link. It was a wonderful story and I really loved reading it. I wish the makers showed at least half of what you have said there and clarified at least some of the misconceptions. It would have been so much better.
After reading the story, I do have a question though. In animal kingdom, a male and female come together mostly/only for mating and reproduction. If not they pretty much live alone by themselves. They have what is called the mating season where the males or females fight among each other to get the attention of the other gender. They don't have that one man/one woman ideology among them, nor do they care about that. In one of the science shows, the narrator said that the males and females mate in order to produce as much offsprings as possible for the fear of extinction, to keep the species going. We are supposed to be "evolved animals". I think humans are the only species where there is that husband and wife, the children, each family, ancestry etc concepts.

In one of the post leap episodes (during the revelation of Jotin and his relationship with Sonakshi, one where she has lunch with him and Dev views that recording), there was one scene where both Sonakshi and Dev are asked to remarry by their respective parents. When Ishwari asks Dev to remarry his answer is that "he cannot remarry because he cannot give anybody else that place which he had given to Sonakshi. That he could never love anyone like that. She was the only one whom he had loved and had loved infinitely. And that he feels betrayed that she has gone far far away from him which is making him both sad and angry". At the same time when Sonakshi gets to know that Bijoy and Asha think that she should marry Jotin, she replies that "what was the need for her to marry. was she not able to take care of her daughter by herself. What could she have that she doesn't already have that only marriage could fulfill. That she had already done that mistake once. Of marrying someone and depending on them. And she doesn't want to repeat that. And she was happy as she was".

Where Dev looked at it as a choice, Sonakshi had seen it as a need as a trophy to be won, like an achievement. In one of the comments on wattpad, someone had mentioned that Sonakshi thought that she loved Dev because of Elena's say so. In the story Naina says Dev is not a trophy to be won. And I feel that person is right. She felt obligated to love him as a repayment for his saving her life. And I think that is whey Elena tells her that she was not angry at him, but angry with herself. Because she(Sona) could never love him. And whenever she saw him, she remembered all the past. Of what could have been, of what she could have got and how she could have shared etc.

My question is why exactly do people marry. What exactly goes in their mind when they think about marriage. Every day one or the other person fall in love or marry. What is the drive behind it(unlike animals😆). What exactly do we try to find in our partners. And I think this understanding of definitions was the basic difference between Dev and Sonakshi.

Please share your thoughts 😃. Thank you in advance. _/\_

You are most welcome and thank you for your comments on the story too.
That is exactly the crux of the whole matter, isn't it?? What do we get into a matrimonial bond for?? What is our expectations from it?? Do we want someone who will be our support system all our life, emotionally?? Are we (as woman) looking for someone who will be our breadwinner all our life (Sadly many women want just this)? or are we looking for a life partner in the true sense of the word, meaning that we want to share our life with him and we ALSO commit to do the same for him, SHARING his life, which means sharing his happiness and sorrows equally.

If we are willing to do this last, then we have every right, every HAQ to demand love, consideration, prioritization, trust, everything from our partner as long as we are giving all of these back too. If we are in the marriage with the feeling that certain needs of ours will be met ( financial ones- roti, kapda, makaan) and in return, we will give somethings (cooking, cleaning, baby care), then this is a business deal, then feeling bad that we don;t have a passionate romance going is plain stupid. There is a very subtle thing here- in couples where the woman is NOT working and the duties are divided between the two like this (roti, kapdaa makaan vs, baby care, cooking, cleaning), there can still be the strongest bond of deep caring between teh two. This happens when both man and wife know that they are each doing what they can give the best of. They are each playing to their strengths- thus creating the perfect balance. In a house where both work also, if the two partners understand that the other is fully committed to giving his/ her best, then the same balance is created.

Basically, a very important thing to think about when we think of marriage is not what WE want out of it but what we are willing to invest in it.

In my opnion , the story should have progressed the way it did in FF but Indian audiences are not ready for a sensible mature story yet . I just love how after 7 yrs he has a women in his life whom he might not love like his first love but cares deeply , understands her and is secure about her affection for him .This was the Dev we wanted to see post leap but alas they turned him into a drunkard .In the end Sonakshi realizes how wrong she was in believing some prenup papers and Vicky and she loses Dev forever and he settles with a girl who loves him for what he is,respects him , makes him feel better and accepts his past .Wow I was blown away reading the story but to be honest I did feel bad that Dev and Sonakshi did not end together but the author has justified it so beautifully .This was the girl we all wanted for Dev .She is strong , independent, successful ,not a doormat but at the same time sensible ,understanding, doesn't think she is superior to Dev ,not an egoistic, hypocrite

I always wonder how come such people were never on SNS tweeting the Patnaiks instead I saw psuedo feminists mostly active on SNS

Special thanks to you. Thank you so much for mentioning the story here😊
