This document is legally not valid. Even though Dev voluntarily agreed the termination of his paternal rights it is not legal according to Indian child welfare laws. 1) They are not legally divorced. 2) The whole process should have been done in the court presided by a judge with valid proofs or case registered against the concerned parent for child abuse (not negligence). With the legal validity of the document so sketchy it would be better for them to just forget about it.😆

I would very respectfully disagree with you there.The document is legally valid-

1)It's true that Dev-Sona are not legally divorced.But they do fall under the criterion of 'Desertion'.Desertion is the legal term used to describe the situation when one partner walks out of the marriage and the couple have had absolutely no contact with each other for a period greater than or equal to 7 years(I'm always intrigued by the duration of the leap being chosen to be 7 years).7 years of desertion is equivalent to a legal separation.A couple whose relationship status stands at "legal separation" can get a divorce very very easily.Also the circumstances in which Sona walked out are against the Dixits.She was thrown out of her own house and had an entire family to look after.Even though,it's morally and legally incorrect of her to have hidden Soha from the Dixits,the law of the land does "change it's discourse" in case if the person had to face dire circumstances.Sona's pitiful condition post separation would give her the benefit of doubt in a court of law.

2)When the document was signed,there was a magistrate/lawyer present there.Also you need people from both parties to be present there.The Boses were present there and Dev(the second party)was also present.The question of a judge or court would arise if Dev decides to contest those clauses in front of a judicial bench.Since Dev voluntarily decided to sign it without raising any objection,the document as of now stands valid.After the document was signed,the lawyer would very easily have got it approved by a judge since both parties had no objection to it.Also,Dev and Sona being the business magnates that they are don't need to be present in person during those proceedings.Their legal teams can very well handle it even if they are not present.

@ Shaavi in my opinion the want of Sonakshi for perfection is not because she wants to be like that, it's probably because the people around her have always made her feel that way that she is perfect be it the Boses or now the Dixits. In a way a standard has been set for her were in she has been given the feel that she cannot go wrong as a result of which she probably has the feeling that she is perfect.

Just my POV, no offence.

I also don't agree with you when you said Dev should learn to control himself. It is not that easy when you see your culprit playing with your daughter during school hours as if nothing had happened. It is even more difficult when you see your daughter fall and all coolness and composure will blow off. I react like that only if my only daughter gets injured. First things first I will take to task the person who made her fall...

In the spoilers I read Vikky says Dev did not take permission to bring Golu home. How come he went to the school to play with Soha? Did he take permission? I hope Dev would ask him that.

Lakshmi, that's perfectly alright to disagree . Sonakshi's reasoning for hiding the truth of Vicky is jst bcoz that involves her daughter Soha & even Golu too . Though Vicky got ousted from IN, he was able to make Soha n Golu on his side thru the freq visits in their school , reaching on time during Soha's accident & taking them to some game places, buying ice creams etc. The reaction from Soha n Golu wen Dev slapped Vicky might 've reminded Sonakshi that how much Vicky had influenced the kids. That's y she gav that simple , digestible explanation for a 6/7 yr old kid as Dev slapped her friend bcoz he scooted from his job to meet her @ school. Sonakshi is that kind of a person who always looks for happiness of nt only herself but others too.

Even wen Vicky's truth of house eviction was out, Sona cudn let that out seeing a happy family of Dev. She's such a gem of a person ( but to b frank, all stones r thrown @ such poor souls usually ) who is hard to find also. Another example of Sona's generosity was out during Khatri track. But there too v cud point fingers @ her saying that she didn allow Dev to take actions in his own hands but v cleverly forgot that Dev visited Khatri in the jail with help of his police officer friend @ first but ended up beating Khatri .

Dev 's slap to Vicky was justifiable bcoz Vicky was caught red handed by Dev in cheating him , otherwise if for any random guy , I wud suggest Dev to take a chill pill as falling down of Soha was purely accidental . If that happens with my son , in case , I wont jumb the gun but I'll definitely chk how that hapnd. If that's unintentional n harmless to my child, I'll accept the apologies . 😳 I think , that shud b followed otherwise v never know how fast the world becomes a war zone !

Btw, Vicky visited the school bcoz of his son , he didn took anybody's daughter / son to his home . I jst hate reasoning for Vicky 😆 I don want to do that ..🤢 I was jst explaining the situations .

P.S. No intentions to hurt anyone . Time zone difference explains my absence further for the day . Enjoy today's episode.

N even Elena took her along to meet Vicky.

If these husband wife duo thinks they can take Suhana anywhere, then how can they expect Dev to take permission from them. Although he should have taken. N this is one thing i don't like, why they make Dev stand mute when people r accusing him. That day mami was saying hamne tujhe sambhala and now Vicky. Y can't he speak up for himself that dude i was all alone in last 7 years, what did u do for me or stay away from my daughter as she is my baby.

That is exactly my problem with Elena in particular but also Vicky/mami...

Mami and Elena knew that Vicky was taking the kids for treats.. They did not tell Dev and/or Sona...

Elena then took the kids to the restaurant before school

Dev always followed the protocol.. He always told Elena when he was making decisions on behalf of Golu... Not done

@ With the risk of getting a warning from the mods again I choose to reply Archa. Even if my reply looked repetitive and pointless I still present my point because I respect you and can not avoid your response.Today Soha crossed all the limits and insulted Dev. And I attribute the reason to not being aware of Vikky's truth.Being a seven year old Soha behaves like a matured girl. That is why she could swallow the break up story when her mother told her in Kalkutta.I wish Sonakshi should first try to see Dev happy. See Elena... She is magnifying her husband's attempt to change to such an extent..She blew off all the crimes of Vikky under the carpet.. Sona stood in shock.

@ Archa I will call it misplaced generosity. Sona of season 1 would never have done that.

In season 1, Sonakshi never thought that Elena would fall in love with Vickky. She always thought of her as smarter than that. But Elena did fall in love with Vickky and believed him. Sonakshi tells Elena to stay away from Vickky. Although Elena tries to she is not able to. During Dev's birthday party episode too Sonakshi warns Vickky to stay away from Elena. But Elena doesn't listen and runs away with him. It is at that time that Sonakshi reveals that Elena had an affair with Vickky. Till then none of the Boses or the Trixits were aware of it. Even after that when Vickky is confronted regarding the theft in office as well as disappearance of Elena, his first response is that he hasn't done anything wrong. Later lands up at the door of IN with Elena in the bridal wear and marriage all done.

The same story is repeating with Suhana. she in her life didn't do anything like what she is doing now. And it is enticing her. She is not thinking beyond the fact that she is having fun and Vickky is giving her that fun. Similar to Elena falling in his trap, Suhana is falling for it. Since she doesn't know the truth about him, she in her mind is thinking that her papa is the bad one. After all he did hurt her mom before. So now he is hurting Vickky. Someone who loves her and is spending all this time with her.

I am liking the way the story is going because Vickky will grow over confident soon. And when his true face will be revealed, it will be a wake up call for Suhana and others too. But she will be the most affected cause she is one of the people who suffered the most because of him. But after this she will never doubt her "papa" and will trust him forever.

EDITED: P.S: In Pride and Prejudice, Elizabeth believes Wickham until the time she gets that letter from Darcy. Only through that letter, she comes to know the full extent of Wickham's villainy. But later she too chooses to hide his truth till it comes back to haunt her family when Lydia elopes with him. My guess is Suhana is the trigger that will make Sonakshi reveal Vickky's true face to the Bose family. And I don't think Elena told that part of the truth to Boses.

This is a great comparison, Shaavi! I completely agree that what happened with Elena is very similar to what is happening with Soha now. Now that you mention it, I wonder if we can take the comparison a little further. Part of the appeal of Vicky for Elena was that she thought her story with him resembled Sona and Dev's love story, which she idealised at the time as the ultimate romance. At a very superficial level, the similarities were visible; strong, independent girl meets rude guy who is actually just deeply troubled and she procedes to fix him (obviously there was so much more to Dev and Sona than this, but Elena was too shallow to really perceive that). She fell for the fantasy more than Vicky himself.

Makes me wonder if Soha is trying to replicate what Dev and Golu have, with Vicky, i.e. a close, informal relationship with a fun uncle who lets you get away with things your parents prohibit. From the time Golu told her about Dev's supposed views on cheating, Soha has possibly been more aware of the fact that she doesn't know Dev as well as Golu does. But then, when they both failed, Dev's response to Golu was very light-hearted while his response to her showed shock and immediate action (if this happens again, no ice-cream). In the beginning, the lines between Golu's Bigcha and Soha's papa were very blurred, but as Dev gets more comfortable as her parent, she sees that he is different with her and Golu.

Of course, Dev has reasons for this that she can't really be expected to understand. He had to give Golu intense doses of fun and love to make him capable of growing up in IN. He taught him to be totally bindaas so that Golu could let all the neglect and hostility of his surroundings roll off his back. Golu is also less taken in with what Vicky is offering, because he has already experienced it with Dev. Soha has grown up more sheltered but with a lot more pressure to achieve tangible goals -- that's a recipe for rebellion, which Vicky has taken advantage of, and like you said, he is using the easy way out to entice Soha, just as he did Elena when he told her their families will never agree, and they had to elope.

EDIT to respond to your EDIT 😆: I love that prediction. Soha caused Dev to tighten his stance against Vicky and now she will motivate Sona to do the same. What they didn't do as lovers, to protect their relationship, they will do as parents to protect their child.

I actually looked up the definition of Emotional child abuse on the website of a leading children's charity. By that definition what Vicky is doing to soha is exactly that. Child abuse. I congratulate the makers for highlighting this ugly issue.

Sam you made a great point. This is how children are abused right under the nose of their parents. Suhana has already said to Dev and Sona that she doesn't get enough attention from them. And Vicky has slid into that gap. She is happy to go with Vicky because he won't take her to school.

Great discussion on Elena, @Sam and @shaavi. I am really curious to know how much does Asha know now. It's unlikely she will say anything to anyone in house. There are 3 pregnant adults living under that roof.

It's unfortunate that exactly what dev and sona were trying to avoid, dragging the kids into this, is what Vicky and Elena have resorted to.

Poor golu(thank you makers for getting him a helmet)... He hadn't realised that the parental attention comes at such a high cost. He already regrets leaving his stalker-cha. Bigcha susu. ⭐️Golu is used to not seeing bigcha in IN. Dev is not used to not seeing Junior in IN. Such a strategist he is. He wore the clothes his junior has always seen him in. Well done Mr Dixit.

And soha is a victim now. She is lured into practices that her parents are unaware of. She is resorting to unhealthy ways to grab their attention and communicate. Tomorrow holds a big ray of hope for me
