Has Dev failed as a Parent ??

It might be too early to predict but somehow I feel this new track is heading towards showing how Dev has failed as a parent. The reason I say this is first Sonakshi had questioned him about his responsibility towards Suhana and then today Ishwari advising him about how the problems between him and Sonakshi is affecting Suhana. Also before Dev was in Suhana's life she was always good in studies but once he is in her life it has started affecting her.
Also Elena telling Dev that he always fulfils golu's wishes that's why he is doing bad in studies so somewhere she holds Dev responsible for it.
Maybe this track is to again show how Dev who had failed as a son, brother & husband also fails as a parent. Also how he has still not learnt to balance relationships and Sonakshi's talk to him on the need of balance for a good recipe just adds to that.

I might be reading too much into the situation but it's just my POV. no offence.

This change in Soha is both Dev and Sona's fault. If the makers are going to show that Dev is the only one at fault here, I'm not interested one bit.Soha was well behaved earlier because she was taught those things and had a good support system. Right now, Golu is influencing her in a bad way and sadly BOTH parents are busy in their own problems and not paying attention to her.

i dont think dev failed as a son or brother. and as a husband.. both were to b blamed. albeit Dev just more because he was bz being a good son. as for parent, ai think his teachings to Golu will come to light now.. about all the cheating, lying etc. as a failed parent.. i dont think so. they never showed him as a failed husband either. a lot of blame was put on sonakshi as well. as for soha.. devakshi are bz fighting, resolving family issues, dev theowing a family member out.. and soha doesnt know the reason.. so of courae all that effects any child. and i think.. this will be the outcome of this track.. parents need to be parents esp. not give into each tantrum, be there with and for child.

Its not Dev...its Sonakshi who has failed...Dev came into Soha's life just few months back...Soha has been single handedly brought by Sonakshi...its her pride that has been hurt today...saw the way she asked Soha ..how much she scored...she was too over confident abt her upbringing ...remember what she said to Dev that she has made Soha perfect...what most first time parents don't understand is that kids are like flowers that appear on a mango tree...looking at that we shouldn't think we are going to get loads of mangoes from a single tree...all that needs is a storm and most of these flowers which could have become a mango would fall down...

Soha till date had never come in touch with bad company...she was always protected ..now when she was left alone and in a bad company of Golu...her mothers teachings didn't withstand the storm...that is why older ppl always used to allow kids to mingle with larger group of same the age...so that they understand what is good and bad...theatrically every one will learn but when put to test how many would hold the concepts and walk that path is a big question...

In short no one is perfect ...every one has their flaws...only when faced with a challenge or situation will you know the true character of that person...

He is not a failed son, brother, husband or a parent. Soha is both Dev n Sona's responsibility where as Golu is his parents responsibility. Elena had this gyan only now that what Dev is doing is not good for her son. Where was she and Vicki all these years? Soha's poor performance in her studies and also her change in behaviour is an indication that all is not well with her. She is troubled, is bottling up too much, scared that her parents will separate since they are fighting a lot and not seems happy. She is taking it out on those close to her because they are not paying attention and also since she knows that she can.

Dev ..really..ok..

Well after today's episode I am proud of Dev..Firstly its normal sometimes parents get too involved in their issues and problems that they are not able to fully concentrate on their child..and Its normal with Dev and Sonakshi as well..They too had certain issues and were troubled where they couldnt pay enough attention on Soha...mind you they never ignored her (as Elena mentioned)..But apparently what ever they lacked with had quite bad results..with some harmful changes in Soha..and today when they witnessed them they both were baffled..They felt the gravity of the moment and it took them several seconds to come in terms with it..Also when Sonakshi scolded Soha Dev didnt shrug it off saying ok let it be..but subtly warned Soha without upsetting her as it was first time she flunked but little girl's response shook them..and post that Dev Ishwari's convo was the best part for me atleast..Its not like Dev Sona doesn't realize it but were too consumed that they kind kept it aside but seeing Soha it came BAMM reality hit them hard and Dev's response about changing himself for Soha totally melted my heart..Thats how parents are..When you see your child is affected and suffering because of you then you immediately amend that..he said we will do everything to keep our promise & they should

Also with Golu constantly saying Bigcha this Bigcha that..I seriously doubt that..It looks more like an excuse for him to do anything himself and to get it done from Soha as well
