Wonderful post Lakshmi. 👏 👏 . But there was one thing that I wanted to say. Vickky is Sonakshi's culprit no doubt, but she is the culprit to both Bose family and Dixit family suffering. Where once she thought of herself as a victim and survivor is now finding herself as the author of all the miseries of both the families.
Accepting the truth, the responsibility of such a big blunder is not easy. It will take her some time to accept the truth, not regarding others, but about herself. Where she once prided herself of being always right admitting that she had become overconfident in her abilities is not an easy task for her. Realizing that she is the root cause of the suffering of not just Bijoy, but the whole Bose family is hard for her. Recognizing that where she once thought that she was mature, independent and strong, she is actually not smart and governed by pride ego and arrogance is still sinking in her heart. Grasping that it was not Dev who left her, but she did to satisfy her ego is right now unacceptable for her. Where she thought that she understood people, had a big heart, finding that she not only hurt her parental family, but destroyed her husband's family in her zeal to prove that she is right is slowly taking root in her. Where she held Dev responsible for not being part of Suhana's life, finding that she is the one who separated them, took away their rights and she is their offender is shaping up in her heart.
She is still reeling from having found the truth about having been played. She is trying to come to terms with the fact that Vickky played her like a puppet and she let him. That she is the culprit and is answerable to so many people for all the pain they endured is a bitter pill that she is trying to swallow. She is realizing that she is unsuitable for the position of "executive decision maker" that she wanted to achieve. That she has a long way to go in actually learning to be an "adult". The recognition of her own flaws and faults and her immaturity is something that will happen in increments when she sees the people and their interactions and feels guilty of taking that away in the first place. Ex -- when she sees Dev taking care of Suhana and Suhana letting him love her is when she will realize how her one wrong step caused these 2 to miss 7 years of life with each other.
Asha had once said that people around us are like mirrors who help us introspect. Sonakshi will now find how true Asha's words really are. She will find herself guilty of having caused immense pain to all of whom she calls "family". She is now walking to different mirrors which reflect her true image and not the image she wants to see. She is going to see how she is not the better person as she thought she is.
When the full implications of her acts hit her is when we will see her reaction and response. My guess is the makers are deliberately not showing immediate remorse from Sonakshi. They are using it as a build up to show that breakdown. Where she wholeheartedly devotes herself to Dev, heart, body and soul.
Just like the makers took time for Dev to realize and confess his love to Sonakshi, to show the first and the second separation, the SR and the the Shimla trip, the makers are now adding meat and blood to Sonakshi's emotions. So that when she expresses them to Dev, they are no longer governed by ego or that sense of superiority that she frequently displays.
