Highlight of today's episode was Sonakshi returning the keys to maami. On the surface it looks like a wrong move by Sonakshi, but when i thought about it, it feels like a smart move and in a way right. It will become right if maami behaves the way I think she will behave. If maami misuses then what Sonakshi did will be wrong. I am curious, yet sure that this is the path CVs are taking. đ .
Like any other person, even maami wanted a good life. She had hoped to find it through maamaji. But like so many others, he was happy with what he had. What she had expected was when Dev rose, he would take them with him. i.e. elevate them too. But that didn't happen. While Dev lived in a mansion, maami had to live in a small house where there was no A.C or any of the luxuries that she dreamed of. I agree that Vickky was supposed to work hard and gain that for them. But then again he didn't get the good upbringing to do that. It does not excuse them from what they did or do. But it explains their motives. When Dev did not elevate them, maami felt like an outsider. She wanted to be an insider to Dixit family, so that she can reap the benefits of Dev's hard work. She thought her husband had done so much for them and so they should get their dreams fulfilled by them in return. She found a way to enter IN.
She wanted to be in a similar place to Ishwari, get the same respect as her. She thought that money is what brought Ishwari that respect. What she is yet to learn is respect is earned not brought. The greed of wanting that place led maami to do all the things that she did which ended with Sonakshi leaving IN. Maami was happy because she got what she wanted, the ownership of IN in a way. She began running IN like it is her home, her household. She considered IN as her "home". With Sonakshi coming back to Delhi she feared that she will lose her place and all the luxuries. That is the reason she did all the planning to keep Sonakshi away from IN. And Ishwari did exactly what maami thought she would. Ishwari took away the keys and gave it to Sonakshi, thereby indirectly saying that Sonakshi was "apna", while maami was "paraya". Just like Sonakshi or Ishwari, maami too has her insecurities. She always wanted Ishwari and her family to consider her as "apna". Dixit family might have done so in words, but by subtle actions, she always felt that she was treated like "paraya".
Today Sonakshi gave back the keys willingly and thereby told maami that she is not "paraya". That she is in fact "family", "apne". Till now maami took things from Dixit "tijori" as she called it theirs. That she was taking from "paraya". But now that Sonakshi has handed her the keys and said that this house is yours and it belongs to you as much as it belongs to us, she made maami "apna" to Dixits and in a way vice versa. Maami might be ok in stealing from Dixits, but is she ok from stealing from her "own home". I don't think so. The next time maami puts her hand to steal anything, the first thought that will come is "I am stealing from my own home". She truly made IN maami's home, made her dream come true. By giving the keys willingly Sonakshi is taking away maami's will to steal.This might not happen immediately, but as the story progresses, we will see this change in maami.
And this applies to maami and not Vickky. He is another story. đ . But my guess is in a way by giving the keys, Sonakshi has created the very needed crack between maami and Vickky. Maami wanted ownership at IN, while Vickky wanted ownership at Dixit Communications. Although maami got respect at IN, Vickky has not got that. Sonakshi by giving the keys has made sure maami is happy and thereby she will be less inclined to plot against her. Although Vickky has got the post of CEO, he is not satisfied. He wants everything. But then he had a partner till now. With the current move, Vickky kind of lost that partner. He is going to be alone and maami will start atoning.
This is my pov. The story might not go this way, but this is my experience and just have penned this down. đ
