I find myself in a similar plane as you wrt sonakshi's actions today. I have never doubted her magnanimous heart... that is the crux of sonakshi's characterization along with righteousness. But yes today was it right what sonakshi did? Is GKB deserving as sonakshi claims to run the house? If she was so sure about GKB's intentions then why did she warn her when she entered IN as suhana' s mother few days back? Why did she want to protect Dev then? And what's changed between then and now? This establishes the fact that she very well knows GKBs intentions are never right. But the change from Ms Bose to Mrs dixit is making her do this. Also, its disappointing that cvs had inserted a self pity scene between GKB and Vicky on how they are being used... isn't that the biggest joke.. people who burnt their own house and came to IN with a motive of capturing and ruling the house , who used everyone , who ruined a family with their planning and plotting claimed that they were been used.
I can't believe I have switched back to complaining mode after praising for a couple of episodes.
I liked the brief Dev-sonakshi scene. I wish we get to see them spend sometime together and with suhana /golu

Maybe am the only one differing with all of u wrt sona's decision. In my pov.. ishwari empowered sona with responsibilities citing her rights as bade bahu. And i think sona exercised her power nd decided to share the responsibilities. I think its a very smart move by sona...

1. She discussed the issue nd her thought process with dev first nd let him know her decision which was not the case in s1 ( like navratri vrat).

2. She also clearly stated to mami tht it is her decision tht she is returning the keys.

3. She went back to dev nd shared tht she has done it.

4. Last she also communicated to ishwari tht she has actually exercised her power she gave her nd taken the decision nd in tht process took care of the members..

There was open communication frm sona to all the members today unlike s1 sona who was a bit hesitant nd uncertain.. we can see a self assured woman here.

Having done her duties she returned to her cocoon nd blissfully fell asleep. Of course.. instead of covering the entire mile.. thy could hve shown some private touch moments. But i guess we r just shouting in the vaccum.

Maybe unlike us normal humans... these two are differently wired😆

I think that Ishwari went overboard in her initiative to welcome Sona. Taking the keys away from Mami like that is not done...She should have had the courtesy to inform her at least...But Sona's action of giving back the keys without consulting Ishwari was also foolishness ...Sona gave away something that Ishwari trusted her with...If she felt that the keys should have been with Mami she should have consulted with Ishwari first.After all Ishwari might have had her reasons for giving her the keys...

However,from Sona's pov,I think she gave back the keys bcoz she realized that Ishwari is floating in the seventh heaven right now and is therefore making some wrong decisions. Diplomacy,understanding human nature and managing situations without directly getting into loggerheads with peopIe is Sona's strength. That is why Dev loves her(she is his opposite)..That is just what she is trying here too..Its her inherent nature...She can't go against it..Earlier too she used over pleasing diplomacy...But it was often laced with immaturity and hasty one sided decisions.This time she is more mature and also has the right mix of assertiveness and aggression .By and large,I think(and hope) she can handle GKB,with or without the keys😃

In a nutshell,I would say that giving the keys back to GKB is a calculated risk.But I think Sona knows this risk and feels capable of handling it.She cannot offend anyone and that nature has made her take this decision.She ,however,did make a mistake by not informing Ishwari.

as much as i disagree with sona doing anything for dixits after how she was treated. this was actually the valid response to Ishwari's bad decision. as soon as her new favorite comes in, she discards her old favorite. Ishwari plays favorites.. we know that cause of the way she raised her kids.. the root cause of all her kids' failures!!! Sonakshi, for the first time, used her own brain and didnt let Ishwati dictate what she should and shouldnt do 👏

hope this continues.. Devakshi doing what they want and not blindly following Hitler's comands!

A normal woman would be concentrating on improving relations with her husband at such a delicate time but sona is a serial bahu. So the husband and his needs can take backseat and the problems of mami, chachi, behen, dhobi, maali etc have to be catered first.

By the way my mother actually appreciated sonakshi's gesture and said she is acting sensible and doesn't want to create fights in the house. Also with this gesture she has ensured that GKB now knows that the keys have been given to her by sona. She has ensured peace in the house and also changed the power equation.

I guess perspective always changes with age.

Interesting pov ...I completely agree with your mother,though I believe that Sona should have told Ishwari before giving the keys. I believe the fundamental nature of human beings doesn't change. Sona was always diplomacy and sweetness personified.She never takes a situation or person head on...She walks around it (or them)t and finds a solution.That is her strength and has always been her strength.This didn't work too well earlier because she was immature in handling certain things.And diplomacy works only when it is combined with the right mix of aggression and assertiveness(to be used sparingly) at the right places. Sona used aggression at the wrong times earlier,but now I believe she has mastered this art.

I think she knew exactly what she was doing when she gave back the keys.She didn't want to upset the balance but at the same time is confident of handling GKB with or without the keys😉

PS:I don't think Vicky will change( in the serial or in real life).GKB is capable of changing with time..and the serial may show it.Her major vice is that she is greedy,but she is not evil like Vicky

Sorry to disagree...now ish and sona is having a good bond..in order to please gkb, sona is spoiling the warmth...sona should have denied the key when ishu gave her..it made more sense rather than secretly gng n giving to gkb...n it is not necessary for us to take ishus each action as her order..it was a gesture of accepting bahu and trusting her..sona should have given due respect to that gesture...atleast she shud have discussed with ishu...n sona is always like this...do wat she feels right..never discuss with even dev...good tat he never complains..

we definitely seem to disagree. i dont think Sona was trying to please GLB at all. sona fid what she thought was right instead of blindly following Ishwari's orders. Ishwari should have herself thought about it before trying to please her new favorite. i dont think sona did anything in secret.. she was uncomfortable & shocked in the moment and talked to dev about it. after that, its her devision! why fiscuss with Ishu? did ishu discuss with GKB beforehand or even talked to sona about it before just taking keys from GKB and giving to Sonakshi??? she gave her the keys, its upto her who she delegates it to. lets not bring dev's complains or lack or complains and only taunts into this topic.

In a normal situation I would have appreciated Sona for returning back the keys to avoid ego problems at home and for not getting involved in kitchen politics but here the person she handed the keys is GKB who is no less than a thief .Sonakshi is aware of Mami's evilness and how low she can stoop .If she can drug Dev and her for her benefit she can misuse the powers as well.Its like raising a poisonous snake as pet .
