I don't think her saying she loves him means their issues won't get addressed. Right now Sona is in a place where she is in denial about her feelings. She believes she has moved on. The moment Asha confronted her with her feelings she ran to Dev to push him to marry someone else. So for me this arc is only meant to get Sona honest with herself.. that's it. Once Sona can be honest about what she wants and what she fears...then Dev can show his chivalry.

Just like Sonakshi ...Dev also knows she loves him...but the problem is her fear...of getting hurt for the third time...she doesn't want to believe that he is in love with her or she in love with him...she has lost her trust not only in him but in the concept of LOVE itself ...and he is primarily responsible for that...if you remember during Saurabh's marriage track , she says when ppl talk abt love or what is love...she is lost and doesn't even know what to say...She believed in love...she felt as long as love is there rest will fall in place...but her experience with love was different from her understanding and the theoretical knowledge ...she learnt some hard facts and went thru a lot of misery alone...remember she never shares her feelings ...especially her pain...that is her core character...thanks to Bijoy for making her this way...keeping that in mind and with the experience in life ...she is too scared to even talk abt love...in that case ...when Dev moves on in life by selecting someone else...its her fear that is being proved right...her belief that he will ditch her again is being proved by his action...that is why I said he has to give in ...ONLY then she will she be proved wrong...Dev has to prove it to her that her understand about his love for her is wrong ...till then she will stay scared...not sure how the CVs are going to treat this track ...but the logic will fail if she confesses first because of Jealousy ...

Please don't think its about who will give in first...no play of ego...rather its a play of fear in their mind...ONLY Dev can take this fear away from her and reinstate her belief in the concept of love by agreeing not to marry and saying that he cant move on with out her...

Eventhough unconsciously, he said how painful it was to live without her for him.the next day he admitted that whatever he said was true..also, when she forced him for remarriage he said he can't give her place to anyone else...As long as all these could not erase her fear of dev ditching her, nothing can erase it except change in her own thought process..as a matter of commitment, dev was more committed to her than her to dev

Whatever he said has always been in the confines of their comforts...I am not going to say that who is more committed here...because the question is not of commitment...in fact we haven't even reached there...its about how to solve "their fear" ...what would be right approach...so that it has no place in their future...

As I said thee are many ways to take that fear out...but looking at her character the only way that can help both is for him to accept it in front of her and his family that he will not go ahead with it as he cannot move on with out her...even then she will not come out soon ...but that will be their first step...her fear has to be taken out first ONLY then they will be able to move forward...but by looking at the pictures I feel she will loose him to the new girl.

What i try to say is the separation was a deep wound not only for sona but for dev also...if sona thinks that dev was a failure in standing up for her, dev can think that sona never trusted him.she.never shared her family problems with him, but wanted him to share everything with her...if you remember the separation episode, dev told her that he chose to live with her when ishu told him to choose either ishu or sona..she was not ready to believe him and tried to listen to him because she trusted more of vikki's crap..so if dev thinks that sona needs to trust him fully before any reunion we cant blame him..but his situations are different from sona and so he needs sonas presence in life more than anything else..
