Hi everyone. Today is the start of the new week and with the new hope. In the pervois week their was the major changes in the Ishu mata and her dynamics with rest of the characters especially with the dev and sona. But most importantly I like the change which is their in the Dev and Ishu mata's relation. For the first time she is the only mother of dev and she has accepted it and same fact is accepted by dev also and this has been highlighted by the writer when Ishu talk about her mistake for not understanding the sona's goodness. She said that "Johari bhi heera parakhaneme galti karata he me to sirif teri ma hu and thi and rahugi and dev also slowly opening up with his mother and able to communicate with her openly. In the previous episode he openly said the when sona comes in his life he was very lonely and she taught him what is love but he was not able to do the justices to it. To say this to Ishu mata openly is the very big thing this must have given the clear idea that other then mother and son relation in the other things are also important. Ishu was with dev but still he feels lonely so every need of the human relation cannot get fulfilled by mother and son relation.

Now coming to our beloved Ishu mata. If you ask me I like this ishu more. In s1 also Ishu was also good upto 75 episodes but still that Ishu feels that she is dev s god. But the current Ishu is not dev's god but the mother and more importantly she knows that she is human. As it was mentioned by the @gmgi s pervious post the moment malati had allowed her to move to the present by forgiving her from her past crime the effect is she understand that her son is not 8 years old and she knows this thing but due to the fear of losing him due to his past crime burden she prefer to live in the past where her son is 8 years old and he required his mother for every thing. So the best effect of this kharti track finally Ishu is able to leave the past and come to the present and as she is not required to maintain her god image to have a relation with her son as her son still loves her human mother form she is exactly acting as a mother of dev and able to see his happiness. And as she is able to leave her past and come to present she allowed her mind to see dev in the present form where dev is grown up man and have his own life other then his mother.

Now about her realization her realization has just started about that she has done injustice to sona but over the period of time I hope she will realize up to what extend she has done damage to dev and sona's relation and as a human she went low to mention her god image in the dev's life and while she was doing the injustices to sona how it has the greater impact on her own son. But this will happen slowly and over the period of time. Her realization and learning has just started and I hope CV's will show the entire process beautifully with out any rush.

Now coming to the one of the post by @shaavi where she has mention that soan will the Ishu's dIl first and the dev's wife and I still remember I had written the post that this should not happen and dev and soan should be first husband and wife and the she should be DIL to Ishu but after seeing the new promo I have the different interpretation for the Shavi's thought that is now Ishu will see sona as her future DIL in her mind but from Dev and Soan will not have this thinking. It is just like that the mother of the son who is now in the age where now he should get married and mother founds a good girl and have a feel that she is the perfect match for my son and take the efforts to bring this thought in reality but after marriage their must be some incidents which make her insecure about her role in son's life and how she get adjusted with the change and become good MIL .In this process I think Ishu will realize her mistakes and try to control her reactions and this time dev and sona are more alert so they will act as one team and control the situation. Lets see what happened. My rest of the thoughts related to sona's behavior I will out in the another post when I get a time.

This post is an attempt to answer two questions I have seen floating around the thread and the forum persistently:

1. How did Ishwari's attitude towards Sona change suddenly, from not taking medicine from her hands to defending her in front of Kalpana and Aarti, and by proxy, Mami? and,

2. Now that Sona dealt with Ishwari's insecurities by solving this Khatri issue, what is Dev's role in balancing his mother and his lover?

According to me, the answer for both of these questions lies in Dev's choices and actions since the Khatri truth came out. Dev does play, and will continue all his life to play a vital role in the relationship between Sona and Ishwari, and this week's episodes amply demonstrated that. His first action towards this goal, although inadvertent at the time, was to trust Sona completely with the Khatri issue. After he faltered and had an outburst when Khatri was released from jail, Dev was very conscious to place implicit trust in Sona. Although there were many times he could have, he never questioned her methods after that or blamed her for the outcome. It was her idea to call Ishwari and allow Malti to talk to her, believing naively that Malti would not reveal to Ishwari that Dev knew her secret -- the phone call that became the direct cause of Ishwari's collapse. And even when Sona blamed herself for what had happened, Dev didn't lift a finger against her. In the end, I think it was that trust that gave Sona courage to finish what she had started and bring the Khatri issue to its conclusion.

After learning what Sona had done for her, Ishwari thanked her and hugged her in the hospital, but was unable to translate that feeling of gratitude into her actions. As I mentioned in a previous post, Ishwari was gripped by the fear of being alone. At that time, she was still riddled with the worry about Sona taking Dev away from her, so she clung to the only support that was immediately present: Mami. By not taking the water and medicine from the Boses, she asserted that they were "paraya" while assuring RR that she was "apna." When Dev took the initiative to invite the Boses over for dinner, what he really did was give Ishwari the opportunity to be the better version of herself while simultaneously assuring her that he was by her side at every step. Instead of trying to avoid the awkwardness that he saw when Ishwari refused to take the medicine from Sona, he faced it head on and made a point to dispel both of their insecurities by bringing them together and allowing them to see the truth for themselves.

When I was thinking about Dev's efforts in the present, I was reminded of his ill-fated efforts in the past, especially of the time he asked Sona to accompany Ishwari and him on their shopping trip. When they arrived at the shop, he saw that Sona was keeping away from him and Ishwari, and after having settled Ishwari, went to spend some time with Sona. This made Ishwari feel neglected and resulted in a situation where Dev was made to choose between Sona's bed sheet selection and Ishwari's. Imagine instead, if he had called Sona over to where he and Ishwari were sitting; there might have been some awkwardness initially, but eventually, Sona and Ishwari would have made a choice together. Sona could have more effectively avoided undermining Ishwari's choices and Ishwari might have taken some of Sona's suggestions for Riya and Nikki's rooms.

The second hypothetical scenario is what I see playing out with this dinner. Dev is being clever here. Instead of trying to start from scratch, he is playing on the foundation that already exists between Sona and Ishwari with Sona's invaluable help in the Khatri situation. Right now, Ishwari is reminded of all of the reasons she loves Sona, and she feels immense goodwill for this girl who has done so much for her. Dev, instead of taking that goodwill for granted as something that will stay, is capitalising on it to built something more substantial between Sona and Ishwari. All the suspicion and fear that Ishwari's insecurities will resurface are totally valid, and I full believe that they will. This dinner was to cement Ishwari's gratitude into something more substantial, that can then be invoked when her insecurities resurface, in order to combat them. He tried to do something similar during the fake pregnancy, but then, he was looking for an easy way out of the problem instead of facing it head on.

The way I see it, Dev has come to understand that the problems between Ishwari and Sona arose because they both loved him. Their issues were not his fault, but he was at the centre of them. Back in the day, Dev certainly loved both of them in return and thought that that was enough, but now we see him really taking responsibility for the love these two women have for him, and taking advantage of the power that gives him to make both of them feel secure in his love in turn. It's the important distinction between "pyar karna" and "pyar nibhana" that he mentioned. In order to win Suhana's unconditional love, Dev not only had to show her that he was willing to do absolutely anything in his power to make her happy, he had to show her that he could respect and take care of her mother as well. Similarly, a Dev who is making Ishwari unhappy cannot make Sona happy and cannot, in turn make Ishwari happy while making Sona unhappy, because all of these relationships are so intimately interlinked. That is the lesson that Dev has learned and applied so beautifully in the form of this dinner.

And I think it is time for the focus to shift to Sona learning a similar lesson. It was prophetic that she claimed she would never understand the issues between Dev and her baba, when it's exactly the same issue. They clash because they both love her so much, and it is time for her to take responsibility for that love, making clear how important both of them are to her happiness, as only she can.

Much awaited post. Beautifully summarised . But the above lines need to happen to take the story to the next stage. Will it happen? If so how long it will take?

Sam, unfortunately there is no Khatri issue for Bijoy Bose that Dev can solve and get credit mixed with gratitude. So Sonakshi has to really stand firm to make her father believe in Dev's trustworthiness .

To achieve that first she has to remove all the walls of suspicion and distrust between her and Dev. Bijoy is a man of extremes. He is full on protector mode that he himself confessed at IN. He will brush off Sona's defence with his one single line " They will hurt you again and I won't allow it to happen Dev taking the blame of Mrs Mandal also may not prove a decision changing fact for Bijoy. At the most he may say " thank you."

So I think the spoiler which says that Iswari will ask Sona to search for a bride for Dev may work positively.I strongly feel Sonakshi has to stand on the verge of losing Dev then she may unveil herself before Dev and may break down.

No remarriage track but only the talk of a remarriage should bring Sonakshi right in front of Dev questioning him and claiming her rightful space.

Waiting to see Sonakshi face her father and declare the ultimate fact that she can not now forego her love for Dev.

@Lakshmi: Your post reminds me of all the time we spent waiting for Dev to "stand up" to Ishwari. In the end, the answer wasn't aggression but loving diplomacy. He understood that Ishwari's behaviour came from intense fear bred by intense love, and if managed well the love could be channelled to overcome the fear. That is what he's learning to do now that he has identified the problem correctly.

I think something similar has to happen with Sona and Bijoy. She has no problem defying him when she wants to, and especially when she feels that kinship with the Dixits, but she has never been able to share her heart with him for fear of falling short in his eyes. That is what needs to change. And for that, just as Dev gave Ishwari a chance to see Sona's goodness and then just stepped back, Sona needs to give Bijoy that time and space to observe for himself how happy Dev makes her and how unhappy she is without him.

As I have said before, Bijoy's fears are not as complex as Ishwari's and he has almost come around to liking Dev so many times. With him, there is no need for a big Khatri-type incident. There is only need for validation of his fears and clarity on what has changed this time around to allow his family to have so much faith in Dev. For that, he needs to see that Dev is not the enemy, but an ally in the quest for his child's happiness. Just as Dev made an opportunity for Ishwari to come to the realisation herself, that Dev's happiness is with Sona, Sona needs to lead her baba to a similar realisation by showing him her happiness or lack thereof, rather than telling him.

I think this new trick of Ishwari's could go in multiple directions, especially now with the spoiler of Sona doing chugli 😆 One possibility is the predictable Sona pretending to be okay with it. Personally, I would love for Dev to question Ishwari and when he learns her intentions, tell her calmly but firmly that he doesnt want to play games when he knows Sona doesn't love him. I would love for Sona's breakdown to come when she realises how seriously Dev has taken her words, and how firmly she shut the door on him without realising. In any case, excited to see how they play it!

@grace: keeping Survika in my thoughts. Hope she recovers soon!

Agree with you Sam. Iswari's trick may have multiple effects. Sona may pretend to be fine with Iswari's decision . Yes Iswari should have relaxed or taken a back seat giving way to natural progress in Dev and Sona's relationship. She looks desparate to fix things that were once spoiled by her .
For bringing forth Bijoy's transformation they have to shift back to Bijoy house. But no such indication is there till now. Fingers crossed.

Learnt about Survika from Jyothi's post and felt bad. Praying to Shiv Shankar for her recovery.

^^ If she has genuinely realized her mistakes then This is perfect way to show it..she need to act maturely..leaving everything on Dev and Sonakshi..Instead of her on driver seat let for god sake Dev and Sonakshi be on one and take decision for themselves and this relationship on their own for once ..Her using these childish tricks doesnt really show her maturity to me

I dont think they need any acceleration Diksha..Also I dont think they need any push as well..They are very well aware of their equation & their feelings..Let them move on their own speed to attain what they couldnt 7 years back..Ishwari's guilt is over powering her..Honestly just to rectify her mistakes which she made..she is acting so impulsive and random..I would not want to see Ishwari act like crutches and Dev Sonakshi like handicaps..They have always needed that extra push from a 3rd person to move ahead in past whether it was Natasha Ritwick or Jatin..This is the time when they can be shown independent and confident..Let them atleast make a decision..Even if they decide to stay friends for life ( No dont think I dont want them together off course I do )..They are very sensible people
