Or is it her ego that she didn't get a chance to choose her bahu. Rather Dev chose.

Basically she hates any girl in Dev's life. She would have hated even her daughters had they been slightly more important to Dev than her. She is jealous and wants to be the only women in Dev's life. She only agreed for Dev's marriage to Sonakshi because she saw it the reason of Dev's depression leading to business losses. No she never even liked Natasha getting married to Dev but that decision was taken out of her hand due to business deal.

Simple - she is independent, ethical, beautiful, kind, caring, strong, understanding, accommodating, and all that any man wants... and which she could not give her husband probably... Sona has the power in her simplicity to wean Dev away from Ishwari..

Ishwari only loves herself and loves money. She sees Dev as her puppet and she wants sole control over Dev the puppet and his money

Ishu hates Sona because Dev loves Sona...any woman that Dev loves or any woman who has any kind of emotional control over Dev will be Ishu's enemy for life!

She didnt hate Natasha because Dev didnt love Natasha, he wasnt in any way emotionally connected to her, and another reason was marriage with Natasha would be a business deal which would be profitable for Dev's business and ultimately will profit Ishwari too.

If Ishu really loved Dev as a mother loves her child, she would not like to see him suffering for his whole life, pining for Sona. She would try to reunite Dev with Sona instead of sending Sona away from her gates inspite of knowing how miserable Dev was without Sona.

Mother's love has become a curse for her son. I think mamaji should divert her into spiritual things so that she just leaves her son to live life on his terms
