Shavi,
I am sorry but I agree to disagree. Sona may not be vocal like Dev about her love , but I still feel you can not compare whose love is more or great.I am not saying that Sonakshi doesn't have any faults, both Dev and Sona are responsible for their situation.
I can not explain or write my thoughts like all the awesome writers here. But one scene which comes to my mind is after the first brake up Sonakshi asks Dev if you tell me to marry you I am ready to leave everyone and come to you.But Dev didn't have any answer.
On a lighter note Dev was so much vocal about his love and promises He didn't leave much for Sonakshi. Still Sonakshi tells on their first date to Dev that whatever she wanted to express he only has said it all. Also Sonakshi wanted fairy tale love but during gajara scene she tells him that she can not do typical wala romance.
I am just pointing out these situation so that you see both of them in same light.
Sam's post about physical and emotional love explained this much better. Also areeba' post too.

Me aaj forum se bachke jaa rahaa hoon. CVs ne aaj Dev ko poora popat kar diya. What he did today is really unpardonable...I don't know how the CVs are going to redeem this character. Till now, I used to believe Sona didn't trust her love for Dev. Today, Dev also proved me wrong...😔

Wonderful post as always. Your collection of dialogues that were mouthed by Dev took me down the memory lane and feel the flush of his first love in abundance. Surprisingly we won't find such self admitting lines from Sona after confession. I need to be corrected if I am wrong.

Hence here we have to completely agree with Shaavi ...Sona did not place Dev in the top place in her priority list.Still as we accepted her love as transcendental like Sam said we have to agree that there is no rule that the persons in love need not act similar or express in the same way as the other.

While Dev's behaviour never left me in confusion regarding his single minded love for Sona it is different in case of Sonakshi. Her behaviour her choice of words always threw me in confusion " Did she seriously love this man? Is her love transcendental in its true sense?(Sorry Sam I feel doubtful whenever Sona utters those harshest words for Dev. ) I always wonder.

Shaavi you are right . We don't see even Suhana at the top in her priority list. But I would like to give her benefit of doubt thinking that Sona never really needed to give Suhana top most priority because her parents mostly handled Suhana with care and love.Sona who is busy with her business schedules is used to that and when Dev is asking her to be with Suhana 24/7 she finds it ridiculous.According to her she should not be considered a bad mother though she can not allott full time services to Soha.

I feel the story is moving in right direction and may tie all the lose ends. Enjoying the journey so much.

Thanks Laxmi. @bold. I agree mostly with you and yes she had to rely on her parents to spend time with Soha while she had to set up her business and achieve all the things she did. I am not saying anything against that. What I am trying to say is as per the current situation what is more important. Is knowing that truth more important than being with Suhana. In today's episode, wasn't Suhana ask just that. Once again it is just a matter of perspective.

i would like to give a personal example. I am a working woman with 2 kids. I live in VA and when I look for a job, one of my requirement is that the job location is not far from home. I get lot of opportunities where the travel time is nearly an hour, but the pay offered for those opportunities are good. I usually say no to them. Once one of my friend asked me why I do that. She said if she was in my place she wouldn't say no to such opportunities. My answer was I am willing to compromise on pay for being able to work close to home and have that flexibility where if needed I can reach them quickly. Here I am not talking about single mothers who have to work or any such thing. It is not really intended to hurt anyone or say that it is wrong to consider such opportunities. I am just talking about my own self and my way of looking at things.

The reason I mentioned this is in reference to how Sonakshi is shown today. She is right now a successful business woman who has a very thriving business. She was able to go to summer camp and not think about her company. But here she felt that the pursuit of truth was her priority than staying with her daughter. Once again this is Sonakshi's core character and I totally get that. All I am saying is in the hindsight is the mess that is being created really necessary. Is that idealistic life that she is shown to be pursuing needed for one to be happy.

Once again this is just my POV.

@bold pink. I am sorry if you felt my post was talking about which love is great. It was not about that nor that is what I was trying to convey. My feeling is you need to have both. My apologies for the confusion.

In the Neha wedding lehenga episode, Sonakshi tells Dev that "you cannot just say you respect Ranveer's family, you have to show that you respect them". What I wanted to convey was very similar. When you say you love someone and that person is very important to you, it is not enough to just say "I love you. You are important to me". More than saying it, this should be accompanied by actions. Having that emotional love, transcendental love is great. But when that doesn't translate in actions, it becomes hard for the other person to keep believing it.

@bold blue. In that scene, before saying that she would marry if Dev asks her, she says that what she is doing, she is doing for her parents, for her family. She also says, if you do this you will lose your mom. Here Dev knows he is obligated to his mother and he cannot really leave her. Also he knows Sonakshi would never be happy if Ishwari did not accept her or approve her. He understood what she wanted in her life and he wanted to give her just that. He knew that if Sonakshi had married him in that condition where she did not have that approval, she would never have that happiness in her life.

During their marriage sangeet function he says that he was so looking forward for that smile, which even when she was with Ritwick, he had not seen. Had Dev not seen her laughing while talking to Ritwick, he had. But he knew it was not that smile which came from inside, the one which a person gives when they are truly happy from their life.

Dev reads people. He read Sonakshi. He knew her every little things and what made her tick for most part. He wanted to not only be needed by her, but also wanted by her, like how he felt about her. He wanted her to show that possessiveness towards him, wanted her to consider him her "apna". Not just in words, not sometimes, but all the time.

I have been observing Sonakshi very closely and I feel I understand why she is behaving the way she is. However, I will not be able to post it in detail before weekends..😔...

So meanwhile, I will enjoy reading all your wonderful posts and analysis happily.😊...

Yet, in spite of all the understanding, I hated to see Sona and Dev fighting, hurt and crying. But I hope this is the darkest hour before the dawn, and then the sunlight would dance through the garden and gardener..😳😊..

I quote a little piece of poetry by Rumi:

How does a part of the world leave the world?
How can wetness leave water?

Don't try to put out a fire
by throwing on more fire!
Don't wash a wound with blood!

No matter how fast you run,
your shadow more than keeps up.
Sometimes, it's in front!

Only full, overhead sun
diminishes your shadow.

But that shadow has been serving you!
What hurts you, blesses you.
Darkness is your candle.
Your boundaries are your quest.

I can't explain this, but it would break
the glass cover over your heart,
and there's no fixing that.

Good night ladies! Keep up the beautiful analysis👍🏼 (as well as your positive aura😊)

Shaavi beautifully written. But can't agree with some points though. I will skip this weeks episode points since haven't watched it yet😭.
It was true that Dev said those beautiful words, but it remained just that. Just ache ache sundar sundar words for Sonakshi.
Dev wanted Iswari's approval as much as Sonakshi. Or else he wouldn't have said to his mother's face directly that you are now behaving like how he dreamed she will. He was the one who told Sona that one day my mother will ask you to take care of her son, this house etc etc.

If he had really prioritized Sona over Ishwari he wouldn't have hesitated to tell to his mother that Sona was waiting for him at the hotel on his birthday and that they had plans. He didn't want to remove that smile and happiness from her face. It was neither Sona nor Ishwari that he prioritized more.

Regarding the decision making in Dixit house I would say he just created an illusion for Ishwari that she was the one who was making the decisions. But was it really so? He did what he thought would give his family happiness usually behind Ishwari's back. It became more obvious to her after Sona came into the picture and naturally she blamed Sona for this change in him when actually he was always like that.

For me both Dev and Sona loved each other equally and deeply. They might be different but the depth was the same.

P.S:Would join later in the week end for the episode discussion. Have to catch up from page 16.

Sorry ,I felt your post trying to convey Dev put Sonakshi on top of his list but not Sonakshi.I feel they both tried their best to please the other as per their knowledge. It was very short marriage for Devakshi, they really did not find time to conquer all these short comings in each others love.

Your way of looking at the things and prioritising issues is just the same like I do. Fortunately for me I have my MIL and mother to look after my daughter when I am away for work purpose. I appreciate your choice of being within the reach of your kids. It brings peace of mind and tension free atmosphere around which counts a lot than monitory benefit. Having said that I also respect those mothers who have to leave behind children for valid reasons.

Like you said Sona invited trouble by getting involved in Khatri issue. Dev's words that he will kill Khatri if he sees him again got registered in her mind and I feel it is strange. Why would Dev commit such crime Sona did not give it a thought.

Today I felt so sad for Dev and Sona. Both are helpless in love. Dev can't bear to see Sona meet Jatin leaving Soha behind. Sona can't tell the truth rather faces the heat . Both the actors performed so well and the scene brought tears in my eyes. And the precap is heart wrenching . Can't wait for tomorrow...
