Dev's father is shown to be dead in the show.. But that's not the story.. Dev's father is alive.. He was on a secret mission..He was betrayed by Ishwari who trapped Dev's father and Dev's father met with an accident.. Ishwari thought that he is dead, but he survives the accident and has to undergo plastic surgery.. and he has to change his name to Khatri.. So khatri is none other than Ishwari's husband and Dev's real father... and now he has come back to take revenge on Ishwari and scaring her.

P.S. - I am not joking 😆

I think ishwari took dev someone elsE's kid away with her when her husband died , so that when he is grown up hE will look aftEr them all. (BuT this doesn't make sense how 3 sisters were born after him if her husband is already dead). And, in any case khathRi mighT know this. Dev not ishwari's own son for sUre. That's whY she is very insecure about him, manipulates him telling his responsibilities towards family & doesn't want any woman let alone his own wIfe near him. And I think it's shown in beginning that she never wanTed to get him married.
