you know Tia, much as I detest Ishwari,I am sooo not looking forward to her dark past unravelling

I already respected her for struggling hard and using her limited means to give a better future to her family.

What could she have done? Sold her honour in dire circumstances? Was abused at work? Had a relationship with Khatri before marriage? At none of the above instances, she appears at fault to me.

Her fault was always being the third 'sabotaging' angle in her son's marriage. her fault for me was always in being manipulative , regressive and downright mean to Sona. Her fault was ignoring her other kids. Her fault was continuously ignoring other kids even after Dev was settled... I can go on and on , but none of them can anyway relate to what happened to her in the past.

Is Khatri there to bring respect for Ishwari's sacrifices as single mother? Well, I anyways respected her from that view.

Both Dev -Sona will get equal chances to be mahaan. The writers are trying to prove even if they give dialogues mocking feminism they are actually feminists😆

Now, I'm not really interested in this mahaanta track. Lost interest over the weekend.

i certainly don't think that makers will take the risk of showing a character who they have been glorifying for the past one year in bad light

Hello guys.I haven't posted a lot in this thread.Reading the comments here I feel people are apprehensive that Khatri's truth might be used to glorify Ish and her deeds which brutally destroyed the life of her own son.However I believe it will work in a reverse manner.

If any such flashback is shown wherein Ish compromised with Khatri,that will furthur degrade Ish rather than glorify her.Remember all of Ish's talks post leap where she says it is easy for Sona to fall in love with a male friend/boss.Ish said Sona fell for her boss Dev so it won't be a surprise if Sona falls for Jatin.That was such a pathetic dig at Sona's character.She kept thinking that Sona trapped her "sanskari" son when Dev had fallen for Sona.If after saying all this,the makers show a spot on Ish's character it will only bring anger for Ish and not sympathy.All her talks regarding "honour" and "dignity of females" in S1 will look like pure hypocrisy.

Ya Dev was hardly concentrating on his daughter and was acting all mahaan to solve Bose family problems which was not at all reqd.

Also Sonakshi doesn't have to meddle in Dixit family affairs at all. In fact after marriage also I didn't somehow liked everytime she interfered in all Dixits family affairs whether it's pleasing Dadi bua, fasting, Vicky job, Neha's marriage, Ria's marriage etc even after knowing that the Dixits didn't want her opinion and interference.

She cud have taken some time to first settle in that house and earn their trust but then how wud CVs prove that she is the ideal bahu.

Been busy over the weekend...So couldn't participate...Just caught up on all the comments in thread...And I love the discussions going on here 🤗

@ Tia - loved your write up and especially your review...Was glad to have a take-no-nonsense Sona back!!

@Rockstar.sj - even the thought of Jatin having some Tripathi blood in him is giving me the heebie-jeebies 🤢

The most popular theory right now is that Khatri is Dev's biological father. Are we going to have a "Luke, I am your father" moment then?? that would definitely explain the harrassment and stalking genes!!

Hi there!! Sorry, I don't know your name...

What you have mentioned above makes perfect sense but the writing of the show has become so much sloppy that I think writers might actually just overlook it. I would be actually glad if this turns out to be true and writers point out the hypocrisy. It would be very hypocritical of Ishwari if they go down that road but she always has been that way. For Ishwari, rules change when it is not about her own family. For instance -

1. She never held anything above her sacred bond with Dev as mother and son but when it comes to Sona-Soha, Sonakshi was just an incubator for her.

2. She sided with Neha during her divorce but is always ready to provide lectures to Sona and Elena about what an ideal DIL is.

3. She always used to taunt Sonakshi in season 1 about not being good at house chores like cooking, knitting etc. but I never saw Neha, Riya or Nikki doing any of that.

There are a few of the numerous ones. Guess, I am hoping against hope that the CVs might surprise us.
