Tell me why bijoy should be nice to Dev? updated on pg 5

Please tell me the reasons .. why shiuld bijoy be nice to Dev? I want yo understand what i am missing ?
Please dont say that because "Dev is bijoys SIL/ex-SIL" or "becuase he is Suhanas biological father"

Other than these two reasons, pls share your other logical reasons..

At the same time, please tell me why should Dev not respect Bijoy?

Thank you everyone for pitching in and presenting your POVs... So here is my deduction so far

Why Bijoy should tolerate (forget nice) Dev ? (Viewer's opinion)

1. Dev is SIL/Ex-SIL.. and damad bhagwan saman hota hai (in Ishwari's words)
2. Dev is Suhana's bilogical father and Suhana called him papa. so Dev is only THE PAPA from now on... FATHER INDIA types. So even if he pokes nose in your family matters - everything is allowed ... as he is the FATHER INDIA. after all bijoy is just a father.
3. Athithi DEVO BHAVA - Bijoy should treat him as bhagwan as his own stupid daughter made a deal with this unwanted Athithi. So what if this athidi brought a strip of BP tablets as a gift when he stepped in.
4.Last but not the least - Dev is like "keechad". so Bijoy should try to maintain his cool and try not to throw stones in the kheechad...as the kheechad will spash on him and will only make him look bad

out of all the arguments... i will go with #4 as the reason why Bijoy should tolerate Dev.


Why Dev should not be nasty to Bijoy ?(viewers opinion)

1.According to Dev , he was not treated well and Bijoy was always looking for chances to separate dev from Sona. Given that Bijoy was not happy with the wedding to start with... where as Ishwari came begging sona to marry Dev... But DIL can be treated as shit/taunted/insulted/forgotten in Dev's house where as he willlingly wanted to marry sona and sona moved into Dixit house for Dev. She did not ask to live separately like Neha did. But, Sona was called homebreaker. So dev can forgive GKB, Ishu and Vicky for their role in separation but not Biijoy... As far as i remember Bijoy did not ask sona to fight for her self respect on the day of separation - it was asha maa...i understand Dev may not know this but viewers definitely know this.. So why make Bijoy the culprit. If i remember the scene whether Bose family was thrown out... bijoy actually got sick ... not sure if they will show flashback but .. it seems he was having anxiety attack or heart attack ... not sure... but something of that sort. So why is everyone blaming bijoy when Asha was the reason sona went back to farmhouse to fight with Dev and get her self respect back...So Blame the hypocrite Asha for sona's decision to walk out instead of being a doormat after everything she was put thru on that one single day

2. Bijoy is elder - some have replied that respect doesnt come automatically it needs to be earned. so bijoy being elderly doesnt need to be respected because #1 (Dev's POV)... where as GKB and ISHU get clean chits and even feet touchings and diamond necklaces for their role in the breakup --- after all blood is thicker than water... Dixits deserve respect no matter what. Sona is not allowed to indirectly indicate that due to families not accepting each other... lot of misunderstanding happen and things dont end up well... Dev directly related that she is talking about his mom and family and it is not acceptable... but he can keep on annoying Bijoy as he is not Dixit.

3. DO not do anything or do not behave in any certain manner (especially elders) - if you dont want others to behave in the same manner with elders in your home ... for what ever reason. if Dev is ready and be ok with the fact that when sona comes to live in dixit mansion (well informed .. not drop in uninvited .. like Dev did)... She is welcome to hand over a strip of anti-depressants to Ishwari and say " Hello Mrs. Dixit... did you miss me .. here i take these ... these should help you while i stay here"... if Dev takes this with out any problem ... then he can continue his current behavior with Bijoy


So here i will pick #3 as the reason why Dev should tolerate or be respectful to bijoy

Beacause he is Dev dixit and issueworry ka ladla beta...!!!!

I don't expect Bijoy to be nice to Dev or vice-versa. All I wanted was Bijoy to refuse to have Dev in his house. He should have asked them to take a separate house and live there with Suhana. That would have spared everybody these ugly confrontations.

He's handsome. Isn't it enough?

Because it was Bijoy's daughter who invited Dev to come and stay with them .If he has any issues then he needs to talk to his daughter first not show his frustration on Dev .Like you said he is not the SIL anymore so they have no right on him nor does Dev have on anyone except Soha .Another reason is no matter what differences Bijoy has with Dev fact is he is Soha's father and like it or not he needs to respect that .If he is having a problem then talk to his daughter and ask her to make different arrangements

Apart from age has Bijoy done anything to gain respect in Dev's eyes or even among his family members ? Would you have any high regards for someone who is acting childish by not serving food for guest,who doesn't spare a innocent child and lashes out at him , try to snatch your daughter from you on the pretext of saving her ,who is ready to create a scene anywhere and everywhere , enjoys food but still makes snide remark about the food .

No one is expecting him to love Dev but having some courtesy for ur guest is needed .If he cannot forget accidental slap then it's his choice but he cannot use that to insult Dev and make everyone around him miserable with his actions especially Soha

Because he's soha's father and as a father he should be nice to dev at least in front of soha
and bdw Dev himself not come there it was sona who inviting him in Bose house
